GCSE English learners got “behind the headlines” in a masterclass run by the @GFheadlines. Travelling to the @gdn_foundation Headquarters in King’s Cross, learners were tasked to work in pairs to plan, write and edit a front page in real-time.

Yesterday, we had a fab session with Y11s from @LDEUTC! 🗞️ They teamed up to research, report & edit news front pages on diverse topics like Hurricane Milton, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, women’s football, pessimistic bees, and even a search for hot tub volunteers 👏
Ada Lovelace Day is a celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). It was great to have so many brilliant role models from @SalesforceUK and @guardian spend the morning with girls in year 8 and 9.

They covered a range of stories during their workshop including the latest on Iran/Israel, the Tory leadership battle, UCL football and more. The students were brilliant and worked so well together! 📰
