A quick status thing: I'm not really active on here any more, but my editing and proofreading business *is* very much still going.
To those who are still on this thing: Huge thanks to @BethHamer1 and everyone else who helped give us a terrific #CIEP2023. As a bonus, here's the scenic view from my (reserved) train seat for the next 2hr 45m 😎 @The_CIEP
Well, it's a good thing that I don't need to do any work this afternoon, as I've got #ciep2023 fever and it's getting difficult to think about anything else 😶. Looking forward to seeing all those edifolks in Glasgow(ish) tomorrow ...

So it's back to the outside world after #ciep2022. After three years without the editribe getting together in person, the feelings of camaraderie, support and joy in each other's company were almost overwhelming. Oh, and I learned a lot as well.😏 Thanks, everyone.
Massive thanks to @BethHamer1, @editdare and everyone else who made #ciep2022 a great success despite the huge challenge of running a hybrid conference.
Wending my way slowly, on three trains, to Milton Keynes for #CIEP2022. Really looking forward to seeing the tribe in the flesh after a three-year wait (and to the much quicker direct journey home).

Still reeling from the strange experience of walking to a @The_CIEP local group meeting last night! The North West group had a one-off meeting here in Chester – now that's what I call 'local'😀. Thanks to @KarenProofread and the others (non-Twitterers?) for an enjoyable evening.
In Shrewsbury after my first in-person @The_CIEP local group meeting in well over two years 👍. Zoom is better than nothing, and it kept the groups going when it was the only option, but it can't match sitting around a table with other editors.

Huge thanks to @BethHamer1 and team, plus all the speakers and everyone I spoke to, for an excellent #CIEP2021. Time to de-bubble and give the brain a rest. Hope to see everyone again next September, one way or the other (🤝/🖥?).
Excellent talk at #CIEP2021 by Hawaii-based Rochdale novelist Ian Dynamic (hope I’ve got that right, @IMcMillan).
Conference fever is suddenly taking hold, with #ciep2021 starting later today😁. Looking forward to seeing everyone, and trying to cram all that learning into my inevitably frazzled mind.
