This Government are tone deaf to the voices of our members. The support & understanding from the public was overwhelming & proof that they’ve got this wrong! Our members are taking a stand, not just on pay but on the future of our NHS. Their message is clear #TalkPayNow

During the pandemic, GMB care workers told us they either had to lose pay or go to work sick due to a lack of proper sick pay.
Care workers deserve better than SSP, and so do the service users who depend on them.
Solidarity to carers campaigning for better. ✊ #SickofSSP
#SickofSSP campaign is a campaign for healthy carehomes. @HC_One the country's largest care provider, don't pay their staff sick pay and it's staff and residents which pay for it. Show your support and sign their petition for #SickPayNow megaphone.org.uk/p/sickofssp

"being off work sick meant I had to swap it for annual leave" "sick pay means that when we're sick we don't infect our residents, it's not that hard to understand" HC-One it's time to pay your staff sick pay! #SickOfSSP @GMB_union_NWI

Our members within HC One are #SickOfSSP and are demanding #SickPayNow. We’ve been out and about talking to our members today and getting petition signatures. HC One need to listen to their staff and implement proper sick pay now for the sake of their staff & their service users
Today GMB is in care homes across the country and nations speaking with HC One workers about working life as an essential key worker. It’s appalling that these workers only get statutory sick pay when ill #sickofssp #sickpaynow

Blaby District Council told refuse workers to use foodbanks if their wages were too low.
Now they’re on strike day 2 to win the pay and conditions they deserve.
They won’t let Blaby become Leicestershire’s low pay capital.
