Oregon HC Dan Lanning - One Word Calls & Defensive Communication
- Almost all calls are one word calls
- EX "Marbles" tells the DEF the front, coverage & adjustments.
- Call is installed with full verbiage. Marbles = Mint Jack 3 Buzz Skittles. Mint Jack = Front. 3 Buzz = Coverage. Skittles (6 Stay) is the check vs COS motion.
- Pressure calls automatically set the front.
- "If your guys are saying 15 words before the snap, good luck."
- Important to replicate practice like a game in terms of communication.
- Back 7 must confirm call and have it show up on film... Lines of communication.
