My passion for the game of baseball has driven me to teach the game after playing it. Training the young pitchers of today to be the stars we watch tomorrow!

In the Mustard app, "Timing" is measured from first forward movement into footstrike. The goal is 1.05 seconds or less. As coach @tomhouse says, "GFF" - Go Friggin Fast! - to "throw hard easy." Download the app today to see your Timing score! apps.apple.com/us/app/mustar…

Nice guys lose if they don't learn how to flip the switch when they take the mound. Coaches want the nice guy in the locker room. But they want a competitive motherf'er on the mound. Finding your alter ego i.e. "game face" is a powerful tool many young pitchers overlook. 🧵1/

I could probably throw harder if I wanted, but why? When they're in a jam, a lot of pitchers...try to throw harder. Me, I try to locate better. -Greg Maddux

Posture We measure the amount of head drop before the lower half begins moving to home plate. Looking for: <2% of body height of head movement up or down. For the head to move, the knees and/or spine are changing. Bend the knees more and pre-set spine angle to fix this.

Swivel & Stabilize Glove should end up over your landing foot and inside the width of your torso into release point. The best pitchers of all time have stable gloves that are inside the width of their torso at release point. Looking for: Chest to the glove, don’t tuck glove.

Go where you’ll play. Go where you’ll develop. Go where you can fail. If you’re optimizing for prestige over playing time, development and fun, you’re putting your long-term potential in jeopardy.
