We still argue about "baseload," and insist renewables be priced as baseload plus the grid. Maybe it is the other way round. As the system moves from central to decentral, and from daily to hourly prices, the costly trait becomes rigidity, not intermittency.

Our Founders knew that special interests would be a problem for our democracy, and that an answer was to shine a light so that the majority could see what was happening in the dark.
Two things you can do:
1. Ask every politician and journalist you meet why Medicare pays 8x for Ozempic what other countries pay.
2. Email your Senator and Representative about Senate bill 3548, which calls for hospitals and health insurers to make their prices transparent.
S3548 was introduced by two Republicans, two Democrats, and an independent Senator. And it is supported by ~90% of Americans. Ask your elected officials why it has not passed.
Thank you to Senator @Hickenlooper and his co-sponsors. Their leadership on this issue deserves our admiration and support.
