GST Appellate Tribunal retweeted
Emphasising GST’s nationwide significance, Dr. Justice (Retd.) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, President, Principal Bench, New Delhi, Goods & Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), said, “GST law has its own pervasive presence throughout the country. It does not affect only 3 or 4% of the population; it affects everybody. And that is one tax regime that has both the central tax structure and the state tax structure. GSTAT is the first and the only tribunal today which caters to the needs of dispute resolution for both the Centre or the Union Government and the State Governments.” Highlighting the tribunal’s technology-led approach, he added, “GSTAT is the only tribunal that has been digital from day one. We were not working for 50 years in the traditional manner of pen and paper and then trying to shift from pen and paper to the digital gateway.
