I'll never recommend a book that has a bad/weak ending. Conversely, I'll likely recommend a book with a weak beginning and make the caveat that it gets better as you go along
Cliche scene I hate: female character has a busy job & when they get an important call or email they actually NEED to answer, their SO/friend playfully takes their phone and tells them they need to have some fun 🙄🙄

What's a cringeworthy cliche scene that always makes you roll your eyes?
For me, it's when a girl is working on her laptop and her SO walks up behind her, sets down coffee for her, and kisses her head. Maybe even peers at her screen as she writes
