Thank you, Nanaimo - Lantzville! Very honoured to be the first elected representative for our riding. I’ll work every day to represent ALL residents and bring your voices, hopes, and desires for our community with me to Victoria. Time to get to work! #Nanaimo #Lantzville #bcpoli
Tomorrow is Election Day. Thank you to every volunteer & supporter.
I believe in a kinder, gentler, and fairer BC where everyone has the chance to get ahead, not just those at the top.
Serving the community where I grew up has been the honour of a lifetime. Thank you!

Proud to sign the Minimum Nurse to Patient pledge. Safe staffing means safer care & I’ll keep standing with nurses.
The BC Conservatives’ sweeping tax cuts don’t add up: fewer resources for patients, more pressure on nurses, and hard-won healthcare progress at risk.

Honoured to door-knock with the BC Federation of Labour! Good-paying jobs and safe workplaces build a stronger BC. That’s why 5,000 new skilled trades training seats including 64 at Vancouver Island University matter. Let’s build BC strong!

And there you have it, Aaron Gunn will run to replace Lorne Doerkson. Aaron has even advised his federal riding assoc he plans to step down now that the Liberals have a safe majority to run as leader of the BC Cons. nanaimonewsnow.com/2026/10/2…
Great to be door-knocking with Kelly Greene, BC’s former Minister of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness, who came from Richmond to support our campaign! Residents shared how our heat pump plan is making a difference and why protecting our environment matters.

Great to connect with residents about the issues that matter, including Lantzville’s new 298-bed long-term care facility supporting seniors and families. Thanks to the former Minister of Forests Bruce Ralston for travelling from Surrey to support our campaign!

Grateful to everyone door-knocking with me, and to @adriandix for coming to Nanaimo–Lantzville to support our campaign!
Residents want better healthcare, a welcoming BC, and dignity for all. I’ve fought for these values since 2024 and will keep fighting.

Families and seniors deserve quality care.
Last month, we broke ground in Lantzville on 298 long-term care beds, including 18 hospice beds, plus 37 child care spaces. Since 2017, 16 projects have delivered ~1,600 beds under the BC NDP. #Nanaimo #Lantzville
In Nanaimo–Lantzville families are seeing great additions for childcare! 🎉
Next year, 135 new before & after school child care spaces are coming to six local elementary schools.
Easy drop-offs for parents. More opportunities for kids to play, learn & grow.

The pattern of troubling conduct from the BC Conservatives is concerning. In 2026, the public has every right to expect better. Our values are defined not simply by the principles we profess, but by the conduct we tolerate and the standards we are prepared to uphold.

I'm glad the rest of BC has noticed @HeatherMaahs and her awful views.
One thing that's been missed: her blog post supporting a slave auction in a school, and **putting a student in blackface** in school productions of To Kill a Mockingbird. #bcpoli
There is a major incident this evening involving a fire at CFB Wainwright in Alberta. The BC Government has reached out to Alberta to offer all possible assistance. Please hold Canadian Armed Forces members, their families and the emergency crews in your hearts tonight.
🚍 Better transit means greater affordability and independence for Nanaimo.
This year: 7,000 new transit service hours. And 10 electric buses are coming to Nanaimo as B.C. rolls out 125 province-wide.
More access and clean transportation.

Everyone deserves an affordable home. 🏡
In Nanaimo, the BC NDP has delivered 989 affordable homes, 356 mixed affordable and market homes, and 266 student housing beds under construction at VIU.
More homes help create stronger communities.

Every child in Nanaimo–Lantzville deserves quality education. From seismic upgrades to 150 new seats at Wellington Secondary, local school investments matter.
The BC Conservatives say education must “take the brunt of cuts.” Our kids deserve support, not setbacks.

If you give away billions in revenue, and add billions in spending, where do you make up the difference? Here is a review of the $5 billion in unexplained, unfunded BC Conservatives promises. bcndp.ca/releases/conservati…

Investing in skilled trades means building BC’s future. Our $241M investment adds 5,000 training seats, including 64 new spaces at VIU, helping young people launch careers and support major construction across our province.

Nanaimo needs stronger health care not cuts.
A new urgent and primary care centre is here. A BC Cancer Centre and 298-bed long-term care facility are under construction.
I’ve pushed for a hospital tower and catheterization lab. Tower concept planning is moving ahead.
