Do I think the Democratic Party is a wholly irredeemable entity within a larger irredeemable entity? Yes. But if you’re gonna believe in them I’d rather see people give them hell than just trusting them. As a reminder, they been playing in everybody faces and not hiding it

You can’t get to affordability without defeating corruption and if you pretend otherwise you will fail at both.

And so it begins. Democrats putting Republicans on their transition teams and in their administrations - something Republicans NEVER DO - because at their core, Democrats love Republicans and hate the antiwar, anti-corporate left and work together with Republicans to crush it.
NYT: Gina Hinojosa announces that former Texas State House Representative Ernest Bailes, a Republican, will be part of her transition team. Hinojosa: “We will have a bipartisan transition and we will have a bipartisan administration in government in Texas.”

I get it. It’s scary to accept there’s one unified evil and no venue for resistance within the system. I get it, the idea of disrupting the order and (rigged) rules leaves options that are dangerous and uncomfortable to enact. I get it’s scary. But I’m sorry. We are here now
NEW: Chuck Schumer is preparing to lead the Senate with a network of former aides lobbying for private equity—including two former policy chiefs and his top health adviser. Their clients include Blackstone, Apollo, and the industry’s top trade group. readsludge.com/2026/11/06/th…

Being honest, as a person in poverty, it's very hard for me to see Progressive influencers in fancy houses telling us, "We have Arrived," or, "The left has won." Maybe for them, since this is mostly an exercise in theory and the latency of incrementalism has little effect on their lives. But for me, I'll celebrate when the suffering here and abroad is alleviated. When or if these Representatives actually pass something substantial. I have yet to see that in my lifetime.

After being repeatedly warned, liberals still elected Democrats who, mere days later are announcing Republican partnerships and policies. You may now call liberals MAGA.

Ok. I'll cop. The Democrats surprised me. They didn't even pretend to want to change things before saying they couldn't. They were given a mandate and said, "nope, lol."

No I'm sorry, we're not doing this whole 'Mamdani & AOC must see something we don't behind the scenes & that is why they are backing Hakeem Jeffries' thing. This is 'working tirelessly for a ceasefire' all over again. AOC & Zohran need to be brave & change their stance. End of.

Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries should step aside. I can celebrate Democrats winning and still want new leadership in Congress. My vote against Trump was never a vote of confidence in how Democratic leaders run this party. I want leaders who will put Medicare for All up for a vote, bring ICE officials in to testify under oath about what happened here in Minnesota, and tell us where every member of Congress stands on sending more weapons to Israel. If the votes aren’t there, say who you need to convince and make the case in public. That’s the kind of fight I want to see from whoever leads this party next. Law and Order. Belt to Ass.

Trump just appointed white nationalist Stephen Miller as his chief of staff and there are Democrat leaders and the whole corporate media pushing for bipartisanship, it’s totally detached and destructive to all of us.

I would bet Kinew personally $1M that this will not happen and he would not take it because he knows that this is a 90% cynical and bullshit promise.
Ending homelessness in Manitoba by 2031. Today marks a turning point. Prime Minister Mark Carney and his federal government are making a generational investment of over $1 billion to build more than 2000 homes and a new Centre for Mental Health and Addictions. Your province is investing $84 million annually to help people get off the streets and stay housed. Working together with Indigenous governments, Mayors, and frontline partnerner, we’re building safer streets and stronger communities with compassion. Because there is no greater nation building project than building up the people of this country. O Canada, our home. 🇨🇦

"I tried to have conversations, very politely, behind the scenes, with Micah Uetricht, one of the leading editors in Jacobin. He ghosted -- just no response, no willingness to engage. I tried again, recently with Micah. And to me it's like, extremely embarrassing for someone who thinks of themselves & portrays themselves at dinner parties...he's going on episodes of The Dig portraying himself as some leading socialist..." "Oh, well, be careful. That flank -- they'll just hang up on ya!😂"
"I think some of [Zohran's] comments about Tisch have been extremely harmful...And I think even worse than all that are the sort of pundits at Jacobin & other organizations --the Center for Working Class Politics...the groups that portray themselves to the public as progressive & left & aligned on these issues -- those groups spreading the nonsense that they're spreading is a particularly important form of counter insurgency." - @equalityAlec

31% - Donald Trump's approval rating. 18% - Hakeem Jeffries' approval rating. 13% - Chuck Schumer's approval rating. The Democratic Party is suicidal if they pick Jeffries and Schumer to lead the House and Senate.

I like how every interview with Avi Lewis leaves the mainstream host flabbergasted because they've never heard someone cut through the Liberal-Conservative duopoly propaganda It's like he's opening their eyes in real time
Avi Lewis defends a wealth tax: "This is an idea that addresses the fundamental inequality and the danger of inequality in our society because if we don't do something, people are going to believe in this country that the economy just doesn't work for them."

Newsom’s opposition to Prop 40 on behalf of billionaires is a big reason it failed. This is the same guy who opposes CalCare, vetoed ranked choice voting, threw trans people under the bus, did a photo op clearing a homeless encampment etc. He’s a slimy weasel & cannot be POTUS.
Gavin Newsom does whatever he believes will advance his political career, but I will give credit to Clemency California, Amnesty International, and the dozens of other organizations and organizers that fought so hard to make this happen.
