1/2 I'll be having a bleather this weekend at the @galgael about archives, resistance, and reclamation. From uprisings to suppression, exploring how archives capture tensions between land, power, and belonging. Skye is a commodity after all eh?

Worth adding: those carvings, “The Nature of the River”, are by the late Colin Macleod (GalGael co-founder with @gehan_macleod) via a £4k grant for tools in 1997 from Scottish Natural Heritage (now @nature_scot). Investment in nature *with* communities is enduring and endearing.

We had 10 speakers at the Community Land Week event in assoc. with @CommunityLandSc in @GalGael Trust in Greater Govan last night. I counted c. 70 folk, venison stew from a roe kindly donated (legally!) via @wildforest_matt, a grand infusion of rural & urban cultures of the land!

The estimated cost of repairing or replacing it is approximately £4,000. This is a significant financial burden for a small charity like ours, and we need your help to keep our FM radio broadcasts alive loud and proud .

I'll be over in Eigg this week, bringing some of the Angus Og collection with us. This social political cartoon feels very much alive today.
