Cape Town:
Members of the @SAPoliceService reportedly left the scene without searching a group of Nigerian men on Voortrekker Road in Cape Town, who have repeatedly been accused by members of the local community of alleged drug dealing and pimping.
A social media user known as “Cape Town Audits,” who has been documenting alleged wrongdoing in Cape Town, visited the area to investigate the complaints firsthand. During the encounter, one of the men reportedly became defensive and threatened to attack the person recording the incident.
What shocked members of the community was the brief presence of the SAPS van, which reportedly remained at the scene for less than two minutes before leaving. The officers’ departure raised questions about whether a proper investigation had been conducted and whether sufficient steps had been taken to prevent the confrontation from escalating and anyone from getting hurt.
Deadbeat parents who dumped their baby with an 80-year-old Eastern Cape woman:
A foreign national identified as Paul Suleman Mussa allegedly left a three-month-old baby girl in the care of an 80-year-old woman, claiming he was running late for work and asking her to look after the infant for a couple of hours. However, he never returned.
According to the source, the elderly woman did not suspect anything was wrong because the baby’s mother was a family friend. The source further alleges that the mother is active on social media, maintaining multiple accounts and posting frequently, but has not responded to questions about her baby.
The little girl is now six months old and reportedly still has no birth certificate or other essential documents, making it difficult to access public healthcare services.
Mussa is reportedly working and residing in the Walmer area of Gqeberha.
A manager caught hands:
South African national and Ondili Group Operations Manager Claud Bohnen allegedly got into a heated confrontation with an employee at Etosha Oberland Lodge in Namibia, which ended in a physical altercation.
The now-dismissed 55-year-old employee, Prince Kausiyona Esigiel, claims the dispute began over a shaded parking space. According to Esigiel, Bohnen spoke to him in a degrading manner and allegedly told him to leave, saying he did not argue with a “baboon.”
Esigiel says he followed Bohnen into a room to confront him about the alleged insult. He claims Bohnen punched him in the stomach before walking towards the bar, prompting him to retaliate.
Esigiel further alleges that when he requested footage of the room where the incident began, he was told the cameras were not working.
Meanwhile, reports allege that nearly 16 employees have resigned from Ondili since Bohnen took over, with former staff members reportedly raising concerns about alleged mistreatment.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and Bohnen reportedly declined to comment when approached.
This woman says her neighbor has been doing this for years, and she doesn't want to argue or fight, but she is tired of cleaning her neighbor's rubbish.🥲

Zeekoevlei, Cape Town:
Fresh claims of a giant snake living in Zeekoevlei Lake in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs have once again stirred debate among local residents.
The latest reports follow an earlier claim made this year about a supposedly enormous snake inhabiting the lake. This time, two young men who were near the lake on the evening of 10 October allege that they heard a man screaming for help and shouting that a snake was dragging him into the water.
Two witnesses reported that the alleged incident took place as darkness was setting in. However, the details surrounding the event are still murky, and the City of Cape Town has dismissed the claims.
For years, stories about a giant snake lurking in Zeekoevlei have circulated among people who grew up in the surrounding neighbourhoods. While some residents believe there may be truth to these accounts, others have dismissed them as rumours and unsubstantiated claims.
The latest allegations have also raised questions about the possibility of encounters with other potentially dangerous animals in the area. Hippos inhabit the nearby nature reserve and have reportedly been spotted in Zeekoevlei Lake on occasion.
This has prompted speculation about whether the alleged incident, if it did occur, could have involved a hippo rather than a snake. However, there is currently no verified evidence establishing what happened or whether either animal was involved.
One of the questions raised by residents is why the individuals who made the claims about the giant snake were standing just a few metres from the lake, with their backs turned towards the very body of water they allege is home to a dangerous snake. 🙃

Can someone kindly educate us on this:
Why are female officers permitted to search men in South Africa, but not the other way around?

"A search of any person or premises shall be conducted with strict regard to decency and order, and a woman shall be searched by a woman only, and if no female police official is available, the search shall be made by any woman designated for the purpose by a police official."

Jozini, KwaZulu-Natal:
A badly decomposed body of an elderly woman was found inside her home in Jozini, KZN. It is suspected that the woman died approximately two months ago, but her son did not report her death to the authorities.
Police were called to the scene and took the woman’s son into custody. However, he was later returned home after reportedly being assessed as mentally unstable.
When asked why he had remained in the house with his mother’s body for such a long period, the man allegedly stated that his mother had told him she did not want to be buried after her death and that he was simply honouring her wishes.
The woman’s family later arrived in an attempt to retrieve her identification documents and other necessary paperwork to make arrangements for her burial. However, her son reportedly ignored their efforts and continued cleaning the house as though nothing had happened.
Members of the community have expressed concern about the potential health risks, as a foul smell continues to emanate from the house even after the body was removed. 💔
