OK, so I am one of the old guys of Twitter; now @x. I have been around since September of 2008. But, here is who I am...
...I am a husband, father, G-Paw.
...I am a person who wants people to get better.
...I am a coffee addict.
...I am a recovering control freak.
...I am not perfect, just "past broken, moving forward."
...I am not as "mean" as you think.
...I get frustrated by the small things of life.
...I have "Grew up outside in the 80's syndrome."
...I broke the paradigm I grew up with.
...I say the "inside things" outside.
...I love people, but they annoy me.
...I hope I live to be 125.
...I believe the past is behind us for a reason.
...I believe people are greater than what they know.
...I believe the best time to be alive is now.
...I believe that 98.7% of people are good people.
...I believe that Jesus is the only Savior.
...I believe that tater tots are better than fries.
...I believe politics is a soul-sucking leech.
...I believe that the next generation is awesome.
...I believe that the retirement is a facade of being lazy.
...I believe that college does not have to be an "option."
...I believe education starts at home.
...I have stories many think are not true.
...I have a hard time saying, "No." But I am learning.
...I desire to do better each day.
...I want to build a network of great people.
...I want to help my grandchildren start businesses.
...I want people to go to heaven.
So, there is some of me. Now, who are you?
Good Morning, Beautiful People!
As we step into this new week, let's embrace Monday not as a dread but as a doorway to opportunities. Today is not just another day; it's the canvas for the masterpiece of your life that you've been dreaming of painting.
Here's your Monday motivation:
#1 - Choose Joy: No matter what life throws at us, we have the power to choose how we react. Choose joy, even in the small things, and watch your life transform.
#2 - Take Action: Dreams don't work unless you do. Today, take one small step towards your biggest dream. Remember, every big journey starts with a single step.
#3 -Be Kind: Kindness is the language the blind can see. Let your actions be a beacon of light for someone today. You never know how much your kindness might mean to someone else.
#4 - Embrace Change: Change is not just inevitable; it's the essence of growth. Welcome it with open arms, knowing that each change is a chance to evolve into the best version of yourself.
#5 - Live in the Moment: Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present. Live in it, appreciate it, and make the most of every second.
#6 - Believe in Yourself: You are capable, you are strong, and you are worthy. Believe in your abilities and trust the journey. You've got this, just as you've got through everything else.
Today, let's not just survive our Monday; let's thrive in it. Let's live as if every moment counts, because it does. Your life is your message to the world. Make it inspiring.
Here's to a week where we all shine a little brighter, laugh a little louder, and live a little fuller.
Carpe Diem, my friends. Let's seize this day and make it ours!
Unpopular Opinion: If you are still the same person you were in college, I am not sure we should be friends.
Many towns don't need another "church" any more than they need another fast-food restaurant or a new pothole.
What these communities truly require are honest Christians who seek truth over opinion, tradition, or personal entertainment. These towns need active Christians dedicated to:
- Growing in biblical knowledge
- Adhering firmly to biblical principles
- Setting aside personal interests
- Helping those who are lost
- Desiring for others to find salvation
- Hoping for unity based on God's word
What most towns need isn't just another church; they need Christians who strive to emulate Christ in their daily lives.
You know those people who only contact you when they need something or to promote their agenda? Don't be one of those. Reach out in love, not in personal gain.
Religious people: Stop only bringing your children to the "fun stuff" at church.
You are not making them a follower of Jesus when you do that. You are making them a follower of "stuff."
I am thinking of starting a podcast interviewing movers and shakers who are working hard, getting better and pressing forward.
It would be a casual conversation around a cup of coffee. Just two people drinking coffee, connecting through video chat, and talking.
Would you listen?
I have a feeling the me, @CelsiusOfficial and Preacher's Pen coffee will all become friends today.
Who is getting better today?
Not tomorrow. Not "when things settle down." Today.
Most of us are waiting on a perfect Thursday that never shows up. Meanwhile, the clock keeps ticking and the couch keeps winning.
Here's the truth: better doesn't come in a box with a bow on it. It shows up in small choices nobody claps for.
Drink the water. Take the walk. Make the call you've been dodging. Say the prayer before you check your phone. Forgive somebody, even if it's you.
Isaiah 40:31 promises renewed strength to those who wait on the Lord, but waiting is not the same as sitting still. Waiting is trusting God while you put one foot in front of the other.
You don't have to fix your whole life today. Just get a little better than yesterday.
So, who's in? Drop a "Me" below and let's do this together.
Better days today, better life tomorrow.
