As an fps pvp enjoyer myself, every game feels this way except maybe cod because of population and aggressive sbmm. Skills do transfer from game to game though. Biggest hurdle is meta and map knowledge, this feeling just comes from using unoptimal items or mechanical blindspots.

When microtransactions were added to fps games there was an argument that people wouldn't buy skins you couldn't see in first person. That argument never made since to me, in this post she's got the same excitement for a 1st person customization as something visible in 3rd person
