Epic adding SMAA to Unreal in 5.7 is amazing, I'm very ecstatic about it. However, their are currently some very glaring issues with it that make it a non-viable option for the vast majority of projects, even when it should be the preferable method: forums.unrealengine.com/t/fi…

Thank you @EmbarkStudios for giving players more accessibility options in your latest patch, allowing users to completely disable all forms of temporal anti-aliasing. Here's to a more accessible future of The Finals! 🥂🎮

Thank you @NVIDIAGeForce for paying attention to the accessibility issue caused by common anti-aliasing/upscaling techniques & aiming to address them with #DLSS4. We look forward to getting this into the hands of gamers & recieving their feedback! 🎮 youtu.be/WXaM4WK3bzg

DLSS 4's new Transformer model improves clarity in motion, which will help alleviate motion sickness and improve image quality across the board. This is only the beginning of what will be a series of progressions towards a more accessible industry standard. #RTXOn

EXCITED ABOUT THIS: teapawt.net/BlurBusters/status/187… - Shader merging of BlurBusters rolling BFI with my variable-pixel BFI. Works on modern high frame-rate panels with low GtG. Enables low-perceptual-induced-motion-blur without brightness compromise and without high source render rates!
CRT simulator GPU shader coming December 24, 2024 on github & shadertoy! Genesis of CRT-simulation replacements in future, when used CRT tubes are near-extinct. Tomorrow's 240Hz, 480Hz & 1000Hz OLEDs can optionally faithfully simulate CRT electron beam for 60fps content.

TAA (including DLSS/upscalers alike) is an unrecognized accessibility issue. Should be offered right next to motion blur. #MonterHunterWilds

Replying to @Surasia_
I'm a little late but thanks for your post Surasia. I appreciate you bringing attention to this matter like I and Digital Foundry have. While their is a way to do it on PC via mods, an actual in game option would go a long way: youtu.be/xZWsbPw04kM

Did you know that people with epilepsy can also experience negative symptoms from forced TAA? This trigger then causes the usual symptoms of nausea and light headedness 🧠 Despite common belief, photo light sensitive epilepsy is much less common than those who don't have it 🚦

Yet their are accessibility options from people suffering from that form of epilepsy but a lack of options for those who get headaches from forced TAA or motion sick prone individuals.

Developers should disclose if their game has forced TAA due to both motion sick and some epileptic people experiencing negative side effects from it. Accessibility concerns should always be disclosed on a game's store page! 🎮

Update: From further testing, there is some aggressive camera shake when initiating a sprint without any way to turn down or disable, which also is a major accessibility concern pointed out by @TheXclusiveAce. As a result the rating has went down to 6/10
Looks like @PlayXDefiant made by @PixelsofMark has some accessibility issues: reddit.com/r/XDefiant/s/UlYP… Luckily the solutions are simple & we hope they will improve their product's accessibility features. As of right now xDefiant gets a rating of 6.5/10 from GamerEase ✅

Struggling with motion sickness in gaming? 🎮🤢 You're not alone! Try lowering motion blur & raising FOV and remember to take breaks. Your comfort matters! #GamerWellness

Another thing I personally love that we were able to add for @wickedgame's launch is Framerate Independent Motion Blur! On by default :) It allows Motion Blur to feel more stylized, painterly and stable across different framerates, VRR, and it just feels so nice! And of course you can dial it in exactly to your liking with a slider, instead of just On/Off toggle, and boost it way above 100% if you're someone that really likes Motion Blur!

Highly adjustable motion blur settings should be the industry standard. Even though we are often busting motion blur, we recognize that motion blur can be a defacto accessibility setting, especially for low frame rates.
