We've won again!
Β
You've probably already heard the news. Β£14bn for Sizewell C, meaning that plant - a zero-carbon copy of Hinkley Point C - gets to go ahead. And billions more for Rolls-Royce, so that great British company can move ahead with its SMR programme.
Β
We're not quite celebrating just yet - the so-called 'final investment decision' is set to be announced next month at an Anglo-French summit. We won't stop campaigning until the ink is dry on that agreement. We've waited too long already: the previous Tory government kept promising and did nothing.
Β
"No more dithering, no more delay," said the Prime Minister today - echoing nearly exactly the words of a petition we recently sent to energy secretary @Ed_Miliband demanding that the Government gets a move on with new nuclear build. Rolls-Royce will get the go-ahead for three of its SMRs, according to the company.

If you want to know the truth about Elon Musk, British journalist Ian Hislop nails him.
I refuse to entertain anyone's delusions about Elon Musk that he cares about or is working to help anyone other than himself.

This is just one of the many schemes we've introduced to help create a convenient and safe environment for cycling!

This dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric is further proof that the UK canβt rely on the Trump administration.

There's absolutely zero sense in listening to, reading about, or citing Putin's annual live delirium show on Russian TV during which the entire galaxy's average IQ drops significantly.
Even the chatter of woodpeckers in the forest has more meaning than three hours of Putin's brainless bravado and self-admiration that has nothing to do with the time-space continuum the world lives in.

The richest man in the world just commanded Congress to shut down the government and now nobody serving in the US military will be paid for the next two months (if not longer).
America is pretty insane at the moment.

Great victory for German ecologists.
In just 6 days (from 11/2 to 11/7), German electricity emitted as much COβ as all domestic flights in France do in 365 days.

Belle victoire des écologistes outre-Rhin : en 6 jours seulement (2/11 au 7/11), l'électricité allemande a émis autant de CO2 que tous les vols intérieurs français pendant 365 jours, soit 3,6 millions t.
