#Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean needs to stop all of weightlifting. It seems that the weightlifting has taken away his quickness and speed. A DB who was quick and fast is now slow and stiff. Maybe they need to check his diet. Cornerback Riq Woolen is an awful tackler and undisciplined cover guy. He seems to be going through the motions. We can clearly see why he was available.

#Eagles defensive tackles Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis are just going through the motion. They don’t get off of blocks and they’re playing without any emotion or passion. Former Eagles LB Nakobe Dean wouldn’t let his former Georgia teammates play like this. The Birds defense misses the passion of Dean.

The #Eagles defense didn’t have any confidence in their offense going into last night’s Cowboys game, so they didn’t show up ready play. The Birds offense showed up ready to play and performed well enough to win, but the defense couldn’t turn it on after the game started. This is a truth about football. If you don’t commit yourself to playing with passion before the game, you can’t turn it on during the game. The Eagles defensive players should remember this and not let it ever happen again!!!!

The Sixers are trailing by 24 at the half of their home opener? Still, we don’t need to trip because it’s just the beginning of the season.

With all the injuries and troubles on the offensive line and now the loss of Jalen Hurts for the next month, the #Eagles season is jeopardy and they know it. Right now, their offensive line cannot open holes consistently for a running game and they can’t protect a quarterback. The loss of Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens are all clear proof that the hunt for another Super Bowl this year is not likely. I’m not convinced that Dickerson is anywhere near coming back to being the monster who dominated in the Super Bowl season. You have Jordan Mailata at left tackle and It’s a shame because defensively, they’re still on a Super Bowl level and that’s without Jalen Carter and Jonathan Greenard being totally healthy. When they get back to 100% look out!!! GM Howie Roseman and company are going to do this rebuild ASAP. The trade of Cam Jurgens for a 2nd round draft pick shows us clearly that they are looking ahead. All their running backs; Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley are injured. What a year to be riddled by injuries. The NFC East is horrible this year, but remember that Jeffrey Lurie & Company aren’t interested in just making the playoffs. #Eagles former tight end, veteran Zach Ertz is back and he talked about how thrilled he is to return to Philly with the Birds.

The injuries to Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert could be very detrimental to the #Eagles offense. We will see how offensive coordinator Sean Mannion quarterback & QB Jalen Hurts and the Birds work around it in the second half.

Is punt & kick returner Britain Covey going to be able to take all these hits and survive through the entire season?

I do like the way the Birds are moving the ball against the Titans. Both Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley are doing a nice job in there with the running game.

The interception throw by Jalen Hurts was a horrible decision because there were two defenders on DeVonte Smith. He can’t force that throw. If there’s nobody’s open then kick the field goal.

#Eagles Nolan Smith did some poor tackling on the QB scramble before the touchdown. He’s got to wrap the ball carrier up rather than just running into him.

Here you have Jalen Hurts and his #Eagles teammates stretching and loosening up for their trip to Tennessee for a battle with the Titans.

I hear all these critics of Jalen Hurts, who question his decision making, accuracy, statistics and whatever, but they can’t erase the fact that the guy is a WINNER, (58 -25), 2 trips to the Super Bowl & 1 Lombardi Trophy.

Some Way or Some How the Birds Defense Needs To Find Away To Make A Play And Keep The Commanders Out Of The End Zone!!!!!

The #Eagles offense continues to struggle with offensive players seeming to discuss mistakes play after play. I expected this but I still didn’t want it. The will likely get better game after game. Jayden Daniels has been making Eagles defenders look bad on some of his scrambles.

Even though I didn’t want the season to start this way, I knew the #Eagles were probably going to struggle offensively at the beginning of the season and need the defense to lead the way. The offense has scored two touchdowns, now I want to see the defense start playing better. I want them to take the ball from Washington a couple of times in the second half to set up some short drives by the offense for touchdowns.

The #Eagles must get Saquon Barkley and the “Outside Zone” running game going today!!!! The running game will open up the Birds passing game. Jalen Hurts, DeVonte Smith, Dallas Goedert & the rest of the Eagles receivers will have a “Big Day” feasting off of all of the “Play Action” passes. The offense will roll. On the Defensive side, the Birds DLine of Jalen Cater, Jordan Davis, and Moro Ojomo should dominate the Commanders OLine to help limit their running game. The Eagles edge rushers; Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith must pressure Jayden Daniels while keeping him in the pocket. The pressure will be on the Birds secondary to “LockDown” Washington wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Stefan Diggs!!! If the Eagles talented cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean and Riq Woolen play like they’re capable, they will limit MacLaurin and Diggs, plus possibly picking off a pass or two. I’ve got the Eagles winning BIG: 30-13!!!
