An Open Letter to Matt Furie from the Boochie Community Dear Matt, We’re writing this with a mix of admiration, confusion, and resilience. It came as a shock to many of us in the Boochie community when you blocked us on Twitter and changed your profile picture to what many interpret as an aggressive gesture—a middle finger. While it’s absolutely within your right to curate your digital presence as you see fit, the tone of this action felt unnecessarily hostile, especially toward a community that was born out of genuine admiration for your art. Boochie was inspired by your creation. When we discovered that Boochie resembled the “skeleton of Pepe,” it was like uncovering a beautiful secret—a moment of excitement and inspiration, like kids in a candy store. That moment fueled our mission and united thousands of people around the world under a shared vision and appreciation of your work. We don’t fully understand your stance on memecoins or your past decision to reject donations from the Pepe community. That’s your prerogative, of course. But we respectfully believe that crypto and memecoins can be a force for good. They are more than just market movements; they represent global communities, financial empowerment, and grassroots innovation. Boochie was on its way to becoming a top-tier project, listed on major exchanges like BingX, MEXC, and Gate.io. Even Binance-linked wallets were buying in, and discussions with other major platforms are ongoing. Our community is growing, and it’s built on more than speculation. We are committed to making charitable donations that make real differences in people’s lives—those less fortunate than many of us, and perhaps even you at times. We’re not just here for profit; we’re here to help shape a better world through the power of digital community and decentralized tools. Let’s not forget: your NFT collections brought in significant earnings in Ethereum. You’ve benefitted from the crypto space before—it’s not all noise and chaos. There is beauty, meaning, and possibility here too. So while you may have blocked us, our resolve is only stronger. Whether you end up loving us or hating us, we will get your attention. And hopefully, one day, you’ll see the good we’re doing—not in spite of your creation, but because of it. And finally to our community the ones who have chose to stick with us through this retrace. Our narrative isn’t based on the fact that we’re being featured in Matt’s new book or that we’re his profile picture. No it’s larger than that we’re the Skelton of Pepe and will be changing our branding and banners to accommodate that also. To the billions. The Boochie Community
