As I re-think my social media strategy, one thing is clear. It won't include X. If you'd like to get hold of me in the meantime, there's a contact form on my website and you can message me on Facebook.

The secret to buying putty knives: always buy two so you can use each one to scrape the label off of the other one.
Good idea: Soaking old tools in vinegar to remove rust. Bad idea: Sticking hand in vinegar to get tools out with open cut on finger.

For all of you that are sitting at home thinking, "Gosh, I wish there was a video of some dude reading his children's book about poop to a couple of porcupines," this is your lucky day. youtube.com/watch?v=gX2y47Jt…

The Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary provides forever homes to non-releasable wildlife, animals that would otherwise face euthanasia. It costs a lot to provide these animals food, enrichment, and a safe comfortable place to live out their lives. Your help makes a big difference!
Today is #GivingTuesdayNow, which means your donations to the Sanctuary help the animals even more! We aren't funded by the Park Service, so we need donations to take care of our animals. Thank you for your support! now.firespring.com/nonprofit…
Donations you make through our #GivingTuesdayNow campaign page between now and May 26 qualify for matching funds. There's never been a better time to help the animals! THANK YOU for your support! now.firespring.com/nonprofit…

We will remain closed to the public through at least May 1. All of our administrative personnel are working from home, and contact with the animals is being strictly limited to assigned keepers for everyone's health and safety. Thanks for understanding! #COVID19 #Quarantine
Over half of Americans aged 12+ have listened to a podcast? Have you? If not, you might want to start with our episode on Chronic Wasting Disease: what it is, how it spreads, and how it may affect you. #CWD #Montana yellowstoneecosystem.com/e/e…

The first of our new long-form podcasts is "Wolves." I talk about everything from big bad wolf legends to modern population management issues. It's from a month and a half ago. I clearly haven't been keeping up on Twitter. yellowstoneecosystem.com/e/e…
We shed the time restrictions of our "2 Minutes in the Yellowstone Ecosystem" radio spot/podcast and we're spreading our newfound wings into double-digit episode lengths to tell you more about our favorite topics! Check out yellowstoneecosystem.com/
This crowdfunded project will let @YWSanctuary provide small animals with the same lifelong home & care that we do for the large animals *and* help to teach people about the critters that are often overlooked. Can you help?
Our education building was, until recently, used for storage and a half-dozen non-native turtles. With your help, we can remodel it and create a vibrant educational environment with custom habitats for local reptiles, weasels, and other small animals! crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/…
"Nice library. Is one of these a trick book?" "How so? "Like you pull it off the shelf and a hidden door opens." "Oh. Yeah, all of them."
