Well folks, the treasonous Rhode Island Democrats have done it. Last night, Senate Bill S0359 Sub A, now titled "Prohibited Firearms ban" instead of "Assault Weapons ban," was passed in both chambers. 
The “Prohibited Firearms Ban” now: •Restricts the manufacture, sale, and transfer of specific firearms defined as "prohibited firearms." •It does NOT ban the possession of existing firearms. • Firearms may NOT be transferred up death. •The sale, transfer, or manufacture of the following "prohibited firearms" would be criminalized: —-Semi-automatic shotguns with: -A fixed magazine over 6 rounds, or -A revolving cylinder —-Semi-automatic rifles with: -A fixed magazine over 10 rounds, or -The ability to accept a detachable magazine and at least one of the following: -Folding or telescoping stock -Bayonet mount -Grenade launcher -Barrel shroud -Pistol grip or thumbhole stock -Flash suppressor or threaded barrel -Semi-automatic pistols with: -A fixed magazine over 10 rounds —-Any semi-automatic firearm that accepts a belt-fed ammunition device Penalties if Prosecuted: •Felony charges. Up to 10 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine Effective Date: •July 1, 2026 The un-American and anti-Constitutional Democrats in the House and Senate and have gotten too brazen and have gone too far. The assault on our rights must be stopped. They must be stopped, unseated, and brought to justice. When unjust laws rise to trample liberty, it is not only our right but our solemn duty to stand, defy, and remind the government that the Constitution is not a suggestion, it is the supreme law of the land. Speaker Joe Shekarchi, @Everytown, @MomsDemand, and the Democrats are planning to come back next year to continue pushing anti-Second Amendment legislation.
