I've been running some interesting data analytics projects on FFXIV. I am an extreme gil maker and that dates back to 2.0 by having the maximum number of retainers and I crank out crafter scrips in mass. There are so many questions I have always thought I had the answer to: - How Many Retainers of each type is ideal - What Purple or Orange recipe to target - What to sell once scrips are secured My configuration is all max stats - 3 Botanist - 2 Miner - 3 Hunter - 1 Fisher My home base is Aether, and I have been running some python code to answer this question definitively. I loaded all of the market data into Redis from Universalis of all Scrip and venture items. I scraped all of the wiki sites to regenerate all of the recipes into a data store. Orange was exactly what i thought it would be: Rarefied Tacos de Carne Asada (CUL Lv100) | 337117 net gil/hr 25.00 crafts/hr | 3600 scrip/hr | 360000 gross gil/hr | 22883 buy cost/hr | 62.3% retainer material coverage Scrip value: 100.00 gil/scrip via manual override Retainers: botany: 1 x Dark Rye (50 each/hr, profile.dol_profile_5820_perception) botany: 1 x White Pepper (50 each/hr, profile.dol_profile_5820_perception) botany: 1 x Yyasulani Garlic (50 each/hr, profile.dol_profile_5820_perception) fishing: 1 x Water Crystal via Megapiranha desynth (62.50 each/hr, profile.supplemental_supply_sources.desynthesis_conversion) hunting: 3 x Rroneek Chuck (15 each/hr, profile.combat_i730_plus) mining: 2 x Fire Crystal (120 each/hr, profile.supplemental_supply_sources.direct_venture) Market board compensation: Dark Rye: buy 50.00/hr x 200 = 10000/hr (retainer deficit) Water Crystal: buy 137.50/hr x 50 = 6875/hr (crystals) Fire Crystal: buy 93.33/hr x 55 = 5133/hr (crystals) Rroneek Chuck: buy 5.00/hr x 175 = 875/hr (retainer deficit) Rate driver: Yyasulani Garlic exactly consumed at 50.00/hr Purple was interesting.... Two Years ago I had these python scripts that caused my lights to turn blue and my sound system would blare the late Erk Russell's voice whenever Georgia Southern scored a touchdown. Enough people were interested and two years later anyone can have this for all College football, NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA teams. It's exponentially more powerful than my original just my house version. I'm really grateful that I saw this project through, but the job's not done I am relentless in making this better and finding a way to cultivate this business. #nfl #football #collegefootball #sports #mancave

I have been working on HomeStadium for 6 years and it's finally taking off and becoming what I envisioned it. Here's everything at a high level of a very powerful app in under 10 minutes. This time two years ago when I had my mini stroke and was not allowed to travel to Georgia Southern for a few games was what gave me purpose. Everything started to come together on my end while watching our comeback over Marshall and in that moment I knew I had to get this thing across the finish line. I had this idea during COVID while fun was illegal. I was watching the Atlanta Braves play in an empty stadium and I missed hearing the tomahawk chop, all of the lights, and I was like man I wish I could just turn my Home into a Stadium. Last night watching the Atlanta Falcons kick the absolute crap out of the New Orleans saints and my cave turning red A LOT with my buddies was a lot of fun and I'm really grateful for everyone's support. This could have been a perpetually unfinished project and a what if but it's not and I promise if this thing hits big like I believe it can I can't wait to give back to Georgia Southern and the Atlanta community in higher capacities. If I can make the world a better place somehow because I made a silly light bulb app that would be something

My Poker Engine has been released to Home Stadium I got sick and tired of poker apps: - wanting you to spend absurd amounts of money on fake currencies that you can't even cash out - Not teach you fundamentals of poker (particularly math) unless they were scripted scenarios and not a real game - Having an absurd amount of bad beats on full houses, flushes, etc after shoving pre river (again see item 1, they want you bankrupt and spending) - making me objectively worse at poker as a result of playing them So I made my own and put it in my Light bulb app because of course that's the feature it needed In Home Stadium poker, you play against 7 opponents tournament style that are powered by Claude, Grok, and ChatGPT. Because you're not playing for money against other people, you have unprecedented amounts of data and teaching opportunities that normally wouldn't exist in a traditional game. Right now: - Pre flop GTO charts - Flop + Turn: odds of your hand improving with no knowledge of what cards have been dealt to others or burned. Also the largest threats from the board - River: percentage chance your hand can lose, and the GTO chart shows every single hand that can beat you - All in: shows every out and percentage you will win Coming soon: - AI powered analysis of every hand you played upon completion to coach you - more scenario driven dialogues Cost: You buy individual game passes (because AI playing as 7 people isn't free) and my initial cost structure is - 5 passes for $10 - 12 passes for $20 If you register to home stadium and retweet this I'll put 10 passes in your account for free to try this out.

In 2020, the Atlanta Braves gave me the idea for Home Stadium when fun was illegal and we were watching games on TV with empty stadiums and cardboard cutouts of fans. 6 years later the vision is realized: built for moments like this in postseason baseball. I'll leave the braves 100% free for their entire postseason run sign up today

Georgia Southern fam, Let's talk about the elephant in the room: Eagle Creek. I want to gather as many undesputed facts on this project as possible. I seek to get answers to the following questions before I decide between grabbing my pitchfork or wallet - How are these fields currently utilized today after the completion of the IPF? - In what way will the traditions and beauty of Eagle Creek be preserved? - Will this iconic bridge seen in the below photo still be there? - How many hotel rooms will be added to the local economy? - What will these rooms typically be priced at all in on a football home game Saturday night? - Do Erk Russell Fund members get any priority rates or booking at said hotel? - Will this hotel generate ARR directly to the university or is this a complete and total handoff to someone like Hilton / Marriot? I personally know someone I trust that has heavy involvement in this project and I will directly reach out with these questions, but I would like y'all to chime in. I endured losing Snooky's across the street back in what 2012? It stung like hell and all we have to show for it now is a Verizon store after many discussions went on as far as preservation like the university taking it over and other ideas. At least this proposed development may help solve my number one gripe as a season ticket holder: lack of hotels in Statesboro. If we had set in stone kickoff times for every home game months in advance this would be a far less annoying issue, but I do not attempt to book until I know it's a game that starts after like 6, otherwise I typically just save the money and drive 250 miles home after the game. When I do hotels on the night games, it's more frequently in Dublin not only because it's like half the price, but also every room is typically booked everywhere by the time I decide I'm doing a hotel. I want to hear from you let's keep it constructive 👇 – at Cumming, GA

I think that there are more pissed off people than Sony expected, but I still question if it's enough to make them reverse course. I broke all of this down yesterday, but in the 2025 Q4 earnings report it stated that 85% of units sold were digital. Key word units, not revenue. It's possible that there are a ton of $10-20 "units" sold that count just like a $70 AAA physical "Unit" would count. Also of the titles that were part of the 15% physical, what we do not know is the percent of those specific titles being physical vs digital. To me, I would anticipate those ratios to be far closer to the 2:1 or 1:1 range but still expecting a physical sales minority. That gets your statistical estimate of "Physical Enthusiasts" Sony has made a very calculated decision that even if 10-20% of PlayStation players dump the platform outright, they will still on paper make more money as a result of this change. They knew a lot of people would be pissed and they had to have run these numbers that we only have a few hints at to arrive at this conclusion. Based on the outrage from a very vocal percentage of players, I do anticipate the PlayStation headcount to drop by 10-20%. Is there enough pissed off people to go over 20? That's the billion dollar question. When you start getting past 20%, the fiscal thesis of this move starts turning red. The rationale of not having the factory overhead to make the discs, not having to pay retail a cut, not losing future sales to a used game market start to show cracks. Now the biggest and very valid consumer side problem is the concept of "ownership" and affordability. I could do a whole separate wall of text on this point of view and I will. Me personally? I only plan on playing two PS5 games this fiscal year: Final Fantasy Resonance and Grand Theft Auto VI. If FFR has a physical release I'll gladly go to GameStop and buy it. Its a ritual I have enjoyed for decades. For GTA6, I have zero interest in buying the box with a download code. I am just doing the digital version and I'm not going to let that ruin a (hopefully) good time playing a game I've been looking forward to for over a decade. In 2027 I am fully locked in to Final Fantasy VII Revelation and Kingdom Hearts IV on PlayStation. Again, hopefully physical. By mid 2027 we should have some more clarity on the overall industry and PlayStation in regards to this issue. Once there are more facts I will then decide my course of action as a consumer who has been one of all 3 platforms' best customer for 3 decades. - Gatabud, MBA

This is going to be interesting. There's a very loud segment of gamers that is furious with this, but most sales data points to an overwhelming majority of game sales are already digital to begin with. Are they prepared to cease buying all games out of principle? I'm old school and love buying physical. I personally try to buy from GameStop to keep them in business when I can. Naturally I have very mixed feelings about full digital, but from a business perspective I understand the rationale of stopping the physical releases. From a parental perspective it's honestly been exhausting keeping track of dozens of small switch cartridges and helping my very young children switch PS5 discs no way im letting them scratch one up. It's made me lazy in recent years and sometimes I'll just buy digital for them just to avoid this. If we're going full digital I think one welcomed change would be ditching the time zone midnight release and just do a global release all at midnight UTC for new titles. At the end of the day, I personally don't feel strongly enough about this issue to let it get in the way of myself enjoying games. I don't love that this is happening, but I don't think there's a meaningful enough amount of us old school gamers that can make them rethink this decision. Proving me wrong would make me happy though.
