The best thing about Netanyahu losing will be watching the corporate and state media trying to repackage continuity in an attempt to persuade the public that some kind of change has occurred.
I see the BBC is framing tomorrow's Israeli elections as a contest between the Netanyahu bloc and "centrist" figures led by Gadi Eisenkot. Hmmm. Here's my analysis for Zeteo:

I wonder if the Burnham government will issue an immediate set of responses in relation to this much more credible and properly researched report?
Or will it, instead, end bin collection in Birmingham because the Green Party believes the ideology behind those crimes is racist.

We got a furious response from the former Conservative minister Lord Michael Gove when we asked about his position on Israel at the Labour Conference.
Gove claimed he knew more about antisemitism than Zack Polanski, the only Jewish leader of a major political party in the UK. He also accused us of not being journalists and of an obsession with Israel, despite the Labour government's change in position on the occupation of Palestine being the key topic at this year's conference.
Gove now sits in the House of Lords and is editor of right-wing magazine The Spectator.

It has already become a regular feature of Burnham's tenure. No.10 and government ministers insisting that Burnham didn't say what everyone heard him say. "Clarification" it's called.
This is now the neoliberal political class, openly refusing to represent the people, while insisting the neoliberal political class will decided what the people really want and should get. Your wants, desires and wishes do not come into it. Just vote and shut up. And they wonder why the countries misruled by this class are in crisis.
Holy shit.
The entire western civilization is in decline, that’s a fact, and this is the cause. Our political leaders don’t answer to the will of the people at all, they answer to the international security state, Central Banks, Billionaires & Corporations.
There is no stopping this decline. Expect more blatant fascism & censorship & canceling of election results that don’t suit the Oligarchs as things get worse & worse.
The only answer is revolution, which is unlikely, but possible.
Racism is fine with the British Established when its victims are on the left, even if they are Jews.
Just in: IPSO has refused to investigate the Telegraph cartoon of Mothin Ali, the Green Party's Muslim deputy leader, grinning over a knife and fork at the severed head of Zack Polanski, its Jewish leader, who is drawn with a hooked nose. Nearly 1,200 of you complained.
IPSO's reason: the cartoon is about two individuals, so only Mothin and Zack can complain. How racist the drawing is doesn't come into it.
IPSO did not have to do this, and it has done the opposite before.
IPSO's rules let it take up a complaint from people other than the person written about, when the breach is significant, and there is a substantial public interest in looking at it.
In July 2023 it used that power. It ruled that Jeremy Clarkson's Sun column about the Duchess of Sussex was sexist, after complaints from two women's charities, the Fawcett Society and the WILDE Foundation. The Duchess did not complain.
The Telegraph's editor, Chris Evans, chairs the committee that writes the Editors' Code, which is the rulebook IPSO enforces.
The Telegraph is still selling prints of the cartoon today.
IPSO's rule says it may take up a complaint like this, not that it must. So this was a choice.
Picture a school. One boy draws two classmates, a Muslim boy and a Jewish boy. He gives the Jewish boy a hooked nose and puts his head on a plate, and draws the Muslim boy about to eat it. He pins the picture to the noticeboard and sells copies at the gate.
A thousand pupils go to the head teacher. She tells them she can only act if the two boys in the picture come to her themselves.
So the picture stays on the board, and every Muslim and Jewish child in the school walks past it each morning. The boy who drew it learns he can do it again.
And the rulebook the head teacher is reading from was written by a committee his dad chairs.
Nobody would say that head teacher is protecting the children. She is protecting the boy who drew it.
That is what IPSO has done. It says it regulates the Telegraph, and it has just told nearly 1,200 people that a racist cartoon in a paper it regulates is not its business unless the two men drawn in it come and ask.
What is it about linking all Jews to the crimes of Israel encourages antisemitism that Zionists appear not to get? Considering that is exactly what they are aiming for their protests sound rather contrived. I'm old enough to remember conflating all Jews with Zionism and Israel's crimes was actually considered antisemitic.
Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer Benjamin Moser says Israel is "actively fomenting" antisemitism by claiming to act in the name of all Jews:
"It's asking a lot of people to say that there's this Jewish army of this Jewish state with this Jewish star on their flag, and they are mercilessly slaughtering tens of thousands of children, but don't confuse them with Jews," Moser said.
He argues that the reported rise in antisemitism is simply a rise in anti-Zionism, "people reacting to Israel and the evil, wicked things that Israel has been doing in our names."

The BBC needs to go!
Horrific organisation
The BBC’s Middle East correspondent frames the Israeli elections as Netanyahu against “leftist” and “centrist” figures like Eisenkot, whom she describes as “softly spoken” and “lowkey”.
What she leaves out is that he’s a former general and the architect of the Dahiyeh Doctrine, which calls for disproportionate force and deliberate targeting of civilians and their infrastructure.
In what world is that left wing?

‘Deposed president’. You mean kidnapped.
Venezuela's opposition leader, Maria Corina Machado, has returned home after almost a year in exile.
The Nobel peace prize winner has not been seen in the country since deposed president Nicolas Maduro was captured by the US military in January and held in New York on charges including Narco-terrorism.
Machado was barred from running for president against Maduro in 2024 and went into hiding before secretly leaving the country in November 2025.
Supporters believe Machado's return will put more pressure on the country's interim government, which is backed by the Trump administration, to hold democratic elections.

Nick Ferrari left a government minister facing some uncomfortable questions on LBC when he started doing the maths.
The Labour Government has announced more than £850 million in funding to tackle rough sleeping, with the ambition of getting people off the streets by Christmas.
With around 4,000 people estimated to be sleeping rough on a given night, Ferrari put the cost at roughly £190,000 per person.
“What on earth? We could buy them all houses!”
And he’s got a point. At that level of spending, the public are entitled to some serious answers.
But here’s where the figures get even more interesting.

But suggest that the ideology that says “carpet bomb them, it’s our land, kick out the Arabs” might be racist, then according to Andy Burnham and Bridget Phillipson, you’re not only a racist yourself, but you also don’t deserve local council services.
If there is one thing that is consistent with Healey, its that he will never pass up an opportunity to look an posturing arse.
Chancellor John Healey asked for a military officer to accompany him at the Treasury, indicating how much weight he’ll place on arms procurement 👇
