Replying to @TheOmniLiberal
Hey! I shadowed you for a few days in October 2019, before the pandemic. That's also when I spoke with your fans about the community they formed around your stream. The piece came out later in 2020 during the pandemic. I just happened to report on you, but I imagine loneliness is a common trait across streamer communities
looks like @nicholasdeorio isn't willing to surrender his tongue's position on ethan's balls to tamara just yet

πΈπ© Sudan's UN representative twice confronted Lana Nusseibeh, the UAE's candidate for UN secretary-general, at her question session with member states on Tuesday.
πΈHe asked if she would back "an independent investigation into your own government's involvement in supplying weapons and mercenaries to a militia implicated in genocidal atrocities in Sudan," some of which "are actually mass raping of women and girls," even as states weigh electing the first woman to lead the UN. Nusseibeh said she would "refer any questions regarding that to my own government" and that "the civil war has taken too high a toll."
πΈThe session was wrapping up when Sudan's representative took the floor again. He said "civil war" is a term "used by UAE" and "not used by the UN" to describe Sudan, and asked her to respond. Nusseibeh didn't address the term. She said she would work with Sudan's ambassador on mediation, a ceasefire and humanitarian aid "with the acceptance of the authorities on the ground." She then repeated her commitment to independence under Article 100 of the UN Charter, which bars the secretary-general from taking instructions from any government.

π¦πͺ NEW: Asked whether she would continue rejecting UN findings on the UAEβs role in fueling Sudanβs war if chosen to lead the United Nations, Lana Nusseibeh said questions about the UAE should be directed elsewhere.
During a UN town hall on Tuesday, Yona Diamond of the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights, confronted Nusseibeh over her repeated denials of UAE weapons and support to Sudanβs Rapid Support Forces (RSF), asking how she could lead an organization whose own findings she has rejected.
Nusseibeh, UAEβs Minister of State, responded that she had taken leave from her position as a UAE minister and declared: βI refer any questions about the UAE to the UAE representation.β
She then spent more than a minute outlining her commitment to ending Sudanβs war, calling it the βlitmus testβ for the next UN chief, without addressing her past denials or whether she accepted the UNβs findings.

π¨ BREAKING: Prominent Michigan Democrat fundraiser David Kramer β who served as campaign finance chair for both Sen. Elissa Slotkin and Rep. Haley Stevens β announces he is JUMPING SHIP to vote MIKE ROGERS (R) for US Senate over Abdul El Sayed, per Jewish Insider
Abdul is TANKING! π₯
Kramer says that even as a lifelong Democrat, backing Rogers is FAR more impactful than leaving his ballot blank to stop Mohamed from reaching the Senate
Another Democrat defection.
It really feels like Michigan Mike has the momentum!

Netanyahuβs Political Dead End Could Be the preview for the Next War with Iran
One critical point that deserves far more attention is Netanyahuβs political predicament. He has no viable governing coalition, yet there is little reason to believe he has any intention of voluntarily giving up the prime ministerβs office.
This creates a potentially dangerous situation. With no clear political path to remaining in power, Netanyahu may see another confrontation with Iran as an opportunity to fundamentally change the political equation. A national security emergency could put enormous pressure on his political rivals to join a national unity government under his leadership.
This is a very plausible scenario and one that should not be underestimated. The concern is not simply that Netanyahu might exploit another war for political future. It is that his inability to form a government, combined with his determination to remain prime minister, could create a powerful incentive to initiate or escalate a confrontation with Iran..
Any assessment of the likelihood of another war with Iran must take into account not only the military and strategic calculations, but also Netanyahuβs political survival.

Rashida Tlaib THROUGH TEARS speaks on the trials of being a Muslim mother in the U.S. with a climate of heightened islamophobia:
Raising 2 Muslim boys in this country, it is INCREDIBLY HARD to see what [the GOP is] doing. My sons shouldnβt care that theyβre Muslim, that theyβre Arab-American, PROUD Palestinians, they shouldnβt be able to see [the hate].
I am SHOCKED of how LITTLE my Republican colleagues speak out against it, especially because they also represent diverse communities.

I look forward to todayβs Interactive Dialogue with UN Member States and civil society. It is an important opportunity to share my vision for the United Nations, answer questions and, just as importantly, listen to the views and priorities of the wider membership.
The General Assembly brings Member States together in a spirit of dialogue and cooperation. I welcome this process, which gives Member States and civil society a meaningful voice in shaping the Organisationβs future. The UN is strongest when every voice is heard, and I look forward to this open, transparent and substantive exchange.

Make sure to vote for Angie Nixon, a joyfully resistant warrior ready to FIGHT for your right to access quality healthcare.
NEW: Angie Nixon is running for Senate on a huge bet: Medicare for All can win over Trump voters in Florida.
To put that theory to the test, we brought Nixon to one of the unhealthiest counties in Florida β where 1 in 5 lives in poverty, thousands are uninsured, and doctors are few and far between.
