My students have been submitting everything with pen and paper for a while. Next up: their first research action plan on computers. Who knows what kind of AI shenanigans they’re about to try.

Week 3 after starting my bouldering adventure. At this point, I am able to climb most of the V3s and some of the V4s. I got defeated by a gauntlet of sloper holds. Chest haul made everything ok today. HCD!
I don't have many IRL friends that are into crypto, have a new freind that shared that he was not only into crypto, but a big fan of SOL. Happy Chest Day!

AI is evolving fast. Not that long ago, getting it to help me find authentic image sources for my PPTs just took forever. Now it’s a breeze.
The tradeoff? It burns through a lot of credits.
Makes me wonder where this is going once these workflows become normal.
When the timetable changes for the third time in a week and you update everything digitally… but forget the one printed copy on your desk. Saw a bunch of students standing outside a classroom wondering where their teacher was.
Then realized their teacher was me.
Some Grade 6 students are already getting creative with their apps, trying to sneak translation tools into standardized tests on their computers. Just another thing for invigilators to watch for these days.

Got my first crier of the school year on Friday. 5 minutes left in class.
He was having issues with Canva and couldn’t see what others were changing. He was worried someone would do something stupid and he’d get blamed for it.
Sometimes they just need you to listen for a bit.
Checked out the DJI Osmo Nano camera at the store and popped open some more chests when I got home. Looks like this cam is going to get subsidized by my haul today.
Stopped by the street side fruit and veggie vendor on the way back from work and picked up 1.25$ of bananas without dismounting the scooter. Days like this reminds me of the reasons why I’m still doing my thing in Beijing.

Was showing students around school today when one spotted her brother in the library with headphones on. She gave an unrequited hello.
Me: “He’s probably focused on studying,”
Her: “He’s not doing anything. He never does anything.”
Fair enough. She knows him better than I do.
