Today's progress. I'm still too dumb to know how to make a good road editor system, so I just spent 3 hours laying out each asset by hand. Funnily enough, the camera only took 5 minutes to script. #indiedev #gamedev #madewithunity #b3d #3dcg #gamedesign #lowpoly #psx #N64 #PS1

I've been getting a lot of fake accounts following me and soliciting me lately. From now on, I'm going to block and report any and all accounts that even smell like they're fake, so stay away!

Been replaying Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I could never finish it before because a 'friend' destroyed my disc. I'm glad I came back to it because it really is an S-tier game. It blew me away from the start and doesn't slow down at all.

Been replaying Metal Gear 2. Great game! Can you imagine Solid Snake at the grocery store? "This credit card doesn't work? Try this one! Damn! How about this one? That was also declined?"

Don't worry, the main bad guy of my game is actually not a math nerd.

Someone wrote an article about Ocean City Killer and compared it to Reacher. I'm very flattered, but I got to set the record straight: I've never been influenced by that at all. My game is basically like Zelda if you played as a hard-boiled detective. screenrant.com/reacher-meets…

And you crawl through office dungeons instead of actual dungeons. Also, the game will probably not come out this year.

I mocked up a logo for my Kuma-Tech engine. That'll show em!

I may use other people's assets for the tutorials, but for my game, I draw each tile by hand. #gamedev #indiegamedev #pixelart #ドット絵ㅤㅤㅤㅤ
Ocean City Killer is an open-world game where you drive a car. Much needed improvements are being made to the city tileset! #gamedev #indiedev #love2d #indiegamedev

An interesting chain-reaction glitch when I was testing the rocket launcher. It's been fixed, but I thought it was cool. #lua #love2d #madewithlove #gamedev #glitch

The AC just broke and I've been sweating at my computer all day. I guess you can call this 'steam game development'

Here's how it looks in the game. I didn't even really need to make car traffic, but it felt wrong not to include it. #gamedev #indiedev #indiegamedev #lua
The car traffic system has now been integrated into the main project. There's some obvious jankiness that will soon be worked out, but it's finally in the game! #indiegame #indiegamedev #lua #retrogame

Improved the car spawning system. Cars will now only spawn within appropriate distances of each other on the graph. Not bad for someone who only understands the BEAR essentials of math. Let me know if you want a devlog on this! #gamedev #indiegamedev #lua

And programming that wasn't easy. #gamedev #indiegamedev #indiedev #lua
Ocean City Killer will have a car traffic system. Cars will politely wait for each other to pass through intersections just like real life!

Almost finished Resident Evil: Code Veronica. They should have called it Resident Evil: Frustration. Poorly placed save points, awkward pacing, hundreds of green herbs, but almost no red herbs, and items you can lose when you switch characters. The story's alright, though.

I found this really cool tileset that I'm using for my next tutorial. Tile animations. #gamedev #tutorial #love2d #lua #tilemaps

I started work on a trail renderer for my engine. I'm going to try adding it to the Doom Sword next. #raylib #gamedev
