HICAR Q&A #2: What internal upgrades were made to the Geissele HICAR to withstand high pressure ammo? For the Geissele HICAR, we completely re-engineered the internals from the ground up. The barrel is crafted with GNB200, specifically designed to combat high heat and increased pressure. We've also redesigned the BCG, and the rate of fire has been reduced to help with recoil control while firing full auto.

1-MOA performance at 760 yards out of an 11.5" barrel is a feat we're very proud to achieve out of the Geissele HICAR. While this may seem typical for your average 16-20" competition rifle, the introduction of high-pressure reloads has made this elevated accuracy possible for more compact AR's. We brought back another game-changing feature to the Geissele HICAR: the high-speed safety selector, better known as the Geissele Gas Pedal. As IED drones become an increasingly common threat on the battlefield, the 90-degree selector offers a distinct advantage over standard 180-degree selectors. In a situation where every second matters, the difference between a standard selector and the Gas Pedal quickly becomes clear.
