Call me whatever you want, but I believe a society's goal should be to secure the highest quality of life and happiness for its citizens, not to endlessly generate capital for the ownership class at everyone else's expense.

I recently read about a woman who died by suicide while waiting for an ADHD diagnosis. She told her GP that her ADHD symptoms were worsening, her anxiety was rising, her life was falling apart. And it ended up killing her.
Ever since, I've had zero time for ADHD 'discourse'.

The moment people with ADHD are offered a benefit, suddenly everyone thinks it's a money making scheme. Why is it so difficult to accept that some people genuinely need support?

I honestly can't wrap my head around people who have zero empathy. Like, how do you not pause for even one second and picture how it would feel if someone did the exact same thing to you?

Most people donโt understand ADHD. ADHD can be deadly & very disabling.
Neurodivergence is a new meaningless bashing word.
The comments illustrate the ignorance even in the ADHD community.
Why did I bother going into the commentsโฆ
ADHD is a disability. Access to a disabled railcard is reasonable.
If youโre not sure why an ADHD person may benefit from this, take some time to research the reasons why ADHD is considered a disability.

Society: โan ADHD diagnosis after 30 is a waste.โ
Me: There is a kind of healing that can come with a deep knowing that your struggle is real. That you are believed and validated. That you are worthy enough to be seen for exactly who you are.

Nope. You have to actually have it in order to be diagnosed. They arenโt just giving it out, symptoms must be disabling to meet criteria. Itโs funny though that now women are finally getting support and diagnosed itโs an โover-diagnosisโ problem. Harmful statement and not helpful
