As I adjust to life post-detransition and as I work through unrelated physical/mental health issues, please consider supporting me below if you like my road trip photography and would like to help keep me going, or even if you just like my old content, which I still aim to return to soon: buymeacoffee.com/narwitz
POV: your dad is sitting in the recliner not even looking at you when he utters the line “I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.”

In laymans terms, Titanium implants are strong and the body accepts them, but they’re way too stiff because the metal takes almost all the pressure, the real bone next to it gets lazy and starts to weaken over time (like a muscle that doesn’t get used). This was the issue with earlier titanium implants and joint replacements the new implant though are made from a special zinc alloy shaped like a lightweight, sponge-like lattice it is flexible and almost like real bone, so it shares the load properly and doesn’t cause that weakening problem Whats REALLY fucking cool is that its also designed to dissolve over time So its a temporary implant, and as it dissolves, it releases minerals and ions that actually promote your new, healthy bone in its place When the job is done, the implant is mostly gone and your own bone has taken over and is the proper strength -medical engineering is a marvel
today while talkin to my friend (who’s a doctor) I learned something really crazy That the titanium implants don't just sit in bone they actually bone grows into them the oxide layer on titanium surface is chemically close enough to biological tissue that cells can't find the boundary so they erase it osseointegration isn't the implant holding on it's biology deciding the metal belongs there the skeleton adopts the foreign object as its own Cyborg vibes

No developer should have to deal with their game being targeted by false Steam reviews in an attempt to pressure them into promoting someone else’s political messaging. @PlayDeadPoly says that’s exactly what has happened to him. It’s an abuse of @Steam's review system, and we hope @valvesoftware investigates and takes appropriate action against the accounts responsible. youtube.com/watch?v=Aj1__Ndz…

After 1.5 years of pouring my heart into my very first game, I'm so excited to finally announce that... Drawquarium is coming to Steam on November 13! 🥹 Draw your own fish, bring them to life, and create your little underwater world, even as a live wallpaper! Like+RT = ♥️

This is my family. I refused warrantless entry because the Fourth Amendment still applies when CPS shows up with armed deputies. I offered a welfare check without police; they refused. The next day they returned with emergency removal orders and took both of our daughters, including our one-month-old breastfeeding infant, and placed them in a foster home with a single father of 3 boys 😠. There was no criminal charge against us and no emergency. After an emergency hearing the court dismissed the removal order. Every major finding was later reversed as unfounded, and DFS abandoned its appeal. The damage—especially to a nursing mother and newborn—was already done. I have since filed a federal civil-rights lawsuit (Yazdani v. Mieszala et al., EDVA 1:26-cv-03365) over separate LCSO misconduct. Accountability for the CPS side is next. We are not the only Loudoun family to raise these issues. Sarah Legg (@sarahgracelegg) posted a detailed personal statement describing her own experience with the same worker: she alleges Kelli Hedrick abused her position, coordinated with law enforcement to have her arraigned while eight months pregnant (threatening jail, a fine, and re-education), and showed a pattern of manipulative conduct and poor judgment toward families. She specifically called out “deep concerns about Kelli Hedrick’s judgment, conduct, and influence on families and the local agencies of Loudoun County.” Read her full statement here: xitter.cf/sarahgracelegg/status/…

Lula celebrated his election win by announcing he will no longer allow himself to be “interpreted by journalists acting in bad faith.” From now on, he plans to speak to Brazilians directly, many times a day. In the same speech, he promised to regulate the tech platforms where Brazilians speak to each other. That promise comes from a government that has already made Brazilians prove their age with ID or a face scan, turned VPN use into an aggravating factor in crimes, and sued Discord after the First Lady called for it to be blocked “by any means.” Lula wants a direct line to the public. He is less keen on the public having one back. reclaimthenet.org/brazils-lu…
