Kayaking Vermilion Lake #3 this morning, spotted two common loons: a juvenile & a parent. Juvenile kept begging for food, parent kept obliging. After lots of little fish, parent loon nabbed a big one. Fascinating to observe via telephoto lens. #birdwatching

Hoping this #brownmagpie returns so I can get a photo that's not through three panes of glass and a window screen. Have not seen one before, but a quick internet search suggests this colour variation happens every now and then.
