This is just a horrible understanding of what Bourdain meant to many of us
“The cult of personality Anthony Bourdain left in his wake is frankly insufferable,” says The FP’s @SnoozyWeiss. “He broke how a generation of men eat.”

While this wasn't done by AI, it's fascinating to see an AI aesthetic be defined by the public and the resulting backlash to that aesthetic when it's done by real artists
So excited to finally share this new poster for the new season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia! Had an absolute blast working on this project in collaboration with the amazing team at Leroy and Rose. New season drops July 9 on FX and streaming on Hulu!

Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos says releasing movies in theaters is “an outmoded idea for most people” and that Netflix is saving Hollywood. “What is the consumer trying to tell us? That they’d like to watch movies at home” (Source: Deadline)

When everyone talks about media companies, no one is talking about everything happening at the Ringer. From an outsiders perspective, they are absolutely killing it as they bring on more live events and add in video to their podcasts

If you're in the utility news business, rather than the breaking news or analysis news business, it’s about to get a whole lot harder as AI grows
I dismissed ChatGPT's new Tasks feature as a slightly better version of Google Alerts. I was wrong. It's fucking cool. I just made an AI agent that: • Sends me a summary of any comedy or music events + new movies playing in my hometown every day at 3pm • Checks for any new restaurant openings/pop-ups every Monday • Finds and suggests events and activities to do with the kids each weekend based on weather I feel like I'm just scratching the surface. How are you using it, fellow nerds? 🖖

Normal for the rest of the world. Not for Canada. Glad to see CFIB raising thr important issue of giving more workers more time off!
It appears there are many on X who think having up to 7 weeks of paid vacation (like Canada Post workers) is normal. Yes, I know it is after many years of service. Even then, it is far from normal - outside of the public sector of course.

i spoke with local grocers in the Vancouver area, who said they and their peers have been struggling to make ends meet. this comes at a time when statcan data show profits skyrocketing for grocers — so why the disconnect? vancitylookout.com/p/greed-i…
