🇨🇦 CANADA EXPRESS ENTRY: MAJOR CHANGES FROM NOVEMBER 3, 2026!
If you’re currently in the Express Entry pool or planning to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence (PR), November 3 is an important date to pay attention to.
Canada is introducing major changes to its Express Entry system.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. NEW CRS POINTS
Canada is introducing a new Labour Market Integration factor.
Eligible applicants may receive points for Canadian work experience, including additional points for experience in designated high-wage occupations.
2. JOB OFFERS CAN NOW GIVE YOU 50–100 CRS POINTS
Qualifying job offers in eligible high-wage occupations can attract:
* 50 CRS points
* 70 CRS points
* 100 CRS points
The points depend on the occupation’s wage classification.
3. LMIA REQUIREMENT REMOVED
From November 3, qualifying job offers will no longer require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) for Express Entry eligibility or CRS points.
However, job offers must be genuine and meet IRCC’s requirements.
4. TEMPORARY PAUSE IN EXPRESS ENTRY DRAWS
IRCC will temporarily pause invitation rounds while recalculating CRS scores.
This process may take up to two weeks.
5. EXISTING EXPRESS ENTRY PROFILES WILL BE RECALCULATED
If you’re already in the Express Entry pool, your CRS score may change automatically.
Applicants with qualifying job offers should ensure their profiles contain accurate information before November 3.
🇨🇦 IMPORTANT: These changes do not mean everyone will receive additional CRS points. Eligibility depends on your work experience, occupation and qualifying job offers.
If you’re planning to relocate to Canada through Express Entry, start by checking your eligibility.
Canada Express Entry is changing. Make sure you understand how the new rules affect your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
Share this information with someone planning to relocate to Canada. 🇨🇦
People spend over 15 million naira on IVF to get pregnant in Nigeria, people organise photo shoots and baby shower, spending millions to celebrate the special gift of pregnancy and childbirth by God. I’m not sure they were all excited celebrating their “death sentence”.
Pregnancy is not a pathology, it’s a physiological process, most pregnancies are safe and straightforward, and the overall global maternal mortality is about 0.22%, meaning 97.78% of pregnant women will deliver safely. That’s not in any way a death sentence.
The figure gets interesting when you come down to Africa and Nigeria. Because, about 92% of all these global maternal mortality occur in Africa and south east Asia. The reason the figures are high in Nigeria is due to poverty, poor healthcare access, illiteracy ( most women prefer to give birth at traditional birth places with little or no formal obstetric education), religion (most prefer to give birth in churches and prayer houses, mosques etc).
These are modifiable risks, and I can say for sure that from 2000 to 2023, there has been a significant reduction in maternal mortality even in places like Nigeria due to education and advocacy.
I honestly expect everyone to increase this advocacy so as to close the huge gap between Africa(Nigeria inclusive) and the global rate.
BBL is more dangerous than pregnancy, but because it’s a personal choice women make that doesn’t involve men, Twitter feminists won’t have a problem with it, but will happily call pregnancy a death sentence because men contribute in getting a woman pregnant.
You want equality, but also play victim and the smaller person to get attention and empathy, this is manipulation.
Let’s not scare women who honestly and happily want to have children into believing that pregnancy is a death sentence.
Pregnancy is safe, some can complicate but most hospitals (proper hospitals) can deal with most complications, as long as the woman attends her antenatal classes and was monitored throughout pregnancy.
Good luck to all expectant mothers, you will deliver safely 🙏
Everyone is building EMRs & telemed apps, but who uses video calls on a 2G network or basic feature phone? You can’t solve root-cause mortality with tools made for Silicon Valley conditions. We're designing HerCova for Nigerian reality to tackle our biggest health challenge.
Whenever I see an HMO patient I just assume this person is educated and enlightened, but the post I'm seeing on my TL is disappointing.
It just exposes how selfish and self centered an average citizen in this country is, I don't know if it's lack of information, here is why......
The idea of HMO was to make medical services very affordable so that you don't spend millions for treatment..
While Doctors encourage and advocate for good health seeking behavior, it simply means if you have a medical concern you should come to the hospital

Every young Nigerian doctor wants their patient insured. Standard of care is frustrated by out of pocket payment. There should just a balance, you don't need to bring your healthy kid for drugs because you want to use your premium. It's called Moral hazard in health financing
This quoted post is unavailable.
I think people need to be educated more when to use their HMO, Nigeria is under staffed, if your children are not sick there's no point bringing them to the hospital when there actual patients on the queue.. when everyone starts utilizing the HMO because they feel it's their.....
Health tech and research will be part of the curriculum, but we can't do that, that's why we're building @roots_x0

Anna did this as a final year student with the right training
this is exactly why @roots_x0 exists
the gap between "medical student" and "researcher who changed treatment protocols" is smaller than you think
our aim is to give medical students the right tools early
Can you imagine being a medical student and authoring a study with the potential to change public healthcare treatment in an entire country?
That’s exactly what happened to Anna Albuquerque, a final year medical student at UFMG 🇧🇷
Anna is the author of the largest analysis ever conducted worldwide on the use of vosoritide in children with achondroplasia (currently the only approved medication that directly targets the molecular mechanism of the disease).
doi: 10.1016/j.gim.2025.101670
This is why we do what we do: to show that scientific research can create real impact in people’s lives.
Congratulations, Anna. Truly outstanding!

Lady explains how Nigerian content creators made people lose remote jobs because they could not keep quiet
There’s this app that helps people get remote jobs called Outlier.
A lot of people around the world use the app, but it’s not officially available in Nigeria. Nigerians in the UK and US use it, and some people in Nigeria reportedly use VPNs to access it.
Now, some Nigerian content creators are talking about it on TikTok and creating content that encourages Nigerians to use VPNs to access the app.
As a result, the founders of the app are reportedly bl@cklisting Nigerian names and b@nning accounts linked to them
