Happy Heavenly Birthday to one of my favorite human beings, Steve Nagel (Col. USAF, Ret. ), you are sorely missed.

“Fuck the scoreboard…I don’t give a fuck about the scoreboard…I want to fuck these bitches up”
We’ve got Kirby Smart’s alleged pregame speech from tonight and it didn’t disappoint
Just for the record, the phrase “gotta have more cowbell” does NOT apply to CFB.
Obnoxious beyond description.

I know there is a lot of talk about QBs sliding… I slid my whole career & never took a hit like you see now & that’s when hitting was allowed!
I don’t believe it’s the sliding that’s the problem, it’s the TIMING of the slide! QBs are pushing envelope bc they are more protected & they expect defenders to just assume they aren’t going to keep running… bad assumption!
Go down early or just be a running back - the in-between is the problem IMO!

Took my 4-year-old son to his first @GeorgiaFootball game! We had a blast. After spending last year and early this year fighting brain cancer at @StJude, he's been in remission for 6 months. It feels so good to do normal things. Thanks @dayneyoung for helping make this happen! 🐾

My friends,
It’s been a long week for several reasons, and thusly, the appropriate time for an update. I apologize in advance for my lack of Spartan brevity.
Iron Will’s health journey continues to offer opportunities to persevere, to learn, to grow, to demonstrate love and glorify God.
The second round of blood tests came back and they indicate a deeper issue with his immune system. Something’s not working properly and is most certainly the cause for him getting sick regularly, the hospitalizations and his inability to fight off viruses/infections. We are beyond blessed to have a doctor who has become a dear friend, and is translating for us and guiding us as we navigate this. Thank you, my friend.
More testing and assessment awaits the wee little man.
What we do know is that we have to focus intently on not only pinpointing the cause, but also building his immunity, and reducing risk.
To that end, today we had to pull Iron Will out of school. Though they hadn’t previously had another child with Down syndrome in the school, when we first inquired about enrolling Iron Will, they were immediately and wonderfully accepting and accommodating. And today they were understanding. And sad with us. We promised he’d be back.
On the upside, I get to spend even more time with my little hero!
We’ll now be working fervently to transform Iron Will into what I like to call a “Human Performance System.”
Immunotherapies, diet, fitness, and more. And Jiu-Jitsu and Krav Maga - obviously… 😉
I’m determined to make him Tier 1 mission-capable in no time.
Timing is everything. And God’s reminders of His presence and proximity are all around us. When we need them, and if we are open to them.
Today we received a gift from @mybeardgonewild and his wife. A gift they made. A gift that took my breath away. Because of its relevance.
It not only bears our slogan, but captures the essence of every day with Iron Will.
Relentless. Forward. Progress.
And so it shall be. I’ll do my best to capture the journey here - the fears, the tears, and most especially, the cheers - because we are honored and humbled to have you on it with us.
And through it all, we will continue to work diligently to honor God with our actions, and generate life-changing impacts for other children and families through Team Iron Will.
Thank you for your prayers and your friendship!
God bless.
