I'm qualified to say this because our Barrie Staff drafted Cole Beaudoin so trust me when I say that Johnny Mclaughlin has HUGE similarities to Cole. Not as big yet but unreal work ethic, a Coaches dream, does everything right on/off the ice & oozes leadership!-MS #2027NHLDraft

Windsor Spitfires goalie Michael Newlove has the most creative goalie gear I’ve ever seen. He has targets on his blocker and glove, and his pads have a design that resemble a stick. He’s no doubt trying to get in the mind of opposing shooters 🤣

I’m serious when I say this is right there with John Tavares as one of the biggest trades in OHL history. 15 draft picks exchanging hands…

London add Santala to an already deep group at F. Big signing, will come in as one of their top-2 centers and firmly be a first round pick for 2027.

100%. Have seen “rankings” that don’t even have John in their top-64 and it’s ludicrous to me. John McLaughlin was the single most improved ‘09 from start of the year, to finish. He’s a treat to watch here in Windsor.

The second is a guy I just haven't seen on lists and I don't understand why. That's Windsor's John McLaughlin. His growth in the second half and into the playoffs was tremendous. Complete package center prospect. Considering he missed his entire U16 year, the growth is great.

Honestly, he’s my favourite prospect for this years OHL draft. I think his potential is sky high in a year where no one really separated themselves.
