Unbelievable buzz on the Garvaghy Road as Kneecap meet the local community!
Support for the rights of the Garvaghy Road residents is growing across Ireland and around the world.
There can be no unwanted Orange march down the Garvaghy Road.

As the Co-Chair of the Friends of Ireland Caucus for the U.S. House Representatives, I urge the British Secretary of State Bryant to weigh in on this consequential moment on the island of Ireland.
28 years after the historic Good Friday Agreement, allowing this contentious parade to proceed would represent a marked step backward. It is within the Secretary of State’s remit to use his office to preserve the peace and stability that has been painstakingly built for the past three decades, and to prevent a return to the divisions of the past.
Failing to do so would be a disservice to the next generation, who seek peace, prosperity, and a shared future.

It is absolutely reckless that political unionism wants to force an unwanted orange march through the Garvaghy Road community.
The people of Garvaghy Road deserve to live in peace and free from intimidation and fear.
I send my continued solidarity and support to the Garvaghy Road community.

Mary Lou McDonald has accused Micheál Martin of “copping out” on Irish unity, after the Taoiseach said Sinn Féin had put the peace process back instead of bringing it forward.
Speaking at the National Ploughing Championships, the Sinn Féin leader said there is an onus on the Taoiseach “to plan and to prepare” for reunification, adding that he should “get the finger out and start doing his job”.

An historic meeting of Sinn Féin, the SNP and Plaid Cymru, where we committed to work together to stand up for our people and their right to independence.
We are living through a time of enormous change in Ireland and across our nations, with three nationalist First Ministers in office for the first time in history.
Change will not be stopped.

The future of Ireland is for the people of Ireland alone to decide.
It is not the right of any British Prime Minister to deny that right to self-determination.

📸 An historic image that speaks to the enormous change taking place in Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Today, the leaders of Sinn Féin, the SNP and Plaid Cymru came together to stand strong for the rights of our people and for their right to self-determination.
Today is all the more historic because, for the first time, three nationalist and pro-independence First Ministers hold office.
Change is happening and it will continue to happen.
We will continue to build a better future in a new and united Ireland.

The future of our island belongs to the people of this island, and them alone.
No British Prime Minister or politician will ever stand in the way of our fundamental right to self-determination.
A referendum on Irish unity is not a concession.
It is the democratic right of the people of Ireland.

The attack by a sectarian mob on Sinn Féin Assembly candidate for Lagan Valley, Declan Lynch, his wife, and their family while they were canvassing was a desperate attempt to slow down positive change in Lagan Valley.
Declan Lynch and Sinn Féin will continue to grow and build in Lagan Valley, providing strong leadership for workers, families, and communities.
Sinn Féin can make history by winning an Assembly seat in Lagan Valley at the next election.

As more details emerge about Jeffrey Donaldson, my thoughts remain very much with his victims as they continue to come to terms with the traumatic crimes inflicted upon them.
As further revelations come to light, there are serious questions that must be answered, particularly as senior DUP figures have now admitted to knowing of Jeffrey Donaldson’s inappropriate conduct, hypocrisy and duplicity over many years.
The public need and deserve answers about who knew what and when, and there is an onus on the DUP to ensure those answers are provided.

The future of Ireland should be decided by the people of Ireland.
I am calling on Taoiseach Micheál Martin to support Sinn Féin’s Irish Unity Bill on July 7th.
We have a huge opportunity to end partition, break the link with Britain and reunite our country - to shape our own future here at home.
The first step is passing the Bill in the Dáil, turning the page and beginning a new chapter for our future - one we shape together.

The most important national conversation of our time is how we can achieve a united Ireland.
Today Mary Lou McDonald introduced a Bill in the Dáil that would begin structured and responsible planning for Irish Unity and constitutional change.

This evening, six new Sinn Féin Mayors and Chairs were elected across councils in the North.
In Antrim and Newtownabbey, history was made with the election of the council’s first ever Sinn Féin Mayor, reflecting the positive change taking place across our society.
Each Mayor and Chair will work tirelessly to represent all communities, create better opportunities for people, and have the backs of families through these difficult times with the cost-of-living crisis.
I look forward to working together with all incoming Mayors and Chairs across every council to build a better future for all who call this place home.
