Been said the same thing.
Delay PS6 until 2033. A failed PS6 means you get no PS7.
And bring back physical media, you cowards.
Mike Ybarra, a former executive at Xbox and Blizzard Entertainment, believes that no one will buy a next-gen Xbox that costs $1,200-1,800, as recent reports have suggested.
He believes that Microsoft shouldn't release a new Xbox at all at just stick with the current Xbox Series X/S instead. This is what he said:
"A 'console' is a mass-audience device and you need great games and a low entry price (IMO $399 to $499). A console at the prices rumored below will never sell meaningful units to be of any value vs. alternatives. Zero.
I wouldn't release it at all.
Stick with PS5 Pro/Series X until prices normalize. The capabilities of those boxes are both fine for 99% of the audience. No one is screaming 'I need a more powerful console' right now and I believe tons of optimization can and is happening on those platforms (see Xbox's AMD announcement on FSR 4.1 today - which is fantastic)."
Do you agree with Ybarra?

Games have changed.
It’s no longer about discs, shelves, or ownership. It’s an endless series of licenses, served by storefronts and servers.
Games—and their consumption of collections—have become a well-oiled machine.
Games have changed.
Account-tagged players carry account-tagged keys, use account-tagged downloads. Always-online checks inside the client enhance and regulate access.
License control, store control, patch control, catalog control… everything is monitored and kept under control.
Games… have changed.
The age of ownership has become the age of access, all in the name of averting catastrophe from used copies and piracy, and he who controls the storefront, controls the library.
Games… have changed.
When the catalog is under total control, games become licenses.

We need to drop the idea that criticism always equals hate
You can enjoy a game and still point out its flaws. In fact, If I actually hated a game, I wouldn't waste my energy... I’d play something else lol

Remember, #GDC is a developer event, specifically the Game DEVELOPER conference. It’s not a consumer show, so it’s generally not the appropriate time or place for mainstream consumer news to be announced. Therefore, it’s important to temper your expectations accordingly and avoid getting overly excited only to be disappointed by your own preconceived notions.
Thank you for your attention to this matter 🙃

This is one of the most abysmal and repugnant hit pieces that I have ever read.
Revisionist history attempting to scapegoat Sarah Bond. Absolutely pathetic.
Inside Microsoft’s big Xbox leadership shake-up. Microsoft has a new gaming CEO who wants to bring Xbox back from the brink. I've been speaking to Xbox employees about how it all went down. Gift link for emergency Notepad issue this week 👇 theverge.com/tech/883015/mic…

Yeah it was all Sarah Bonds idea and Satya is worried about Xbox hardware and brand, thats why the move to hire Asha. 🤣

We will not let the Verge or anybody else use Sarah Bond as a scapegoat for Phil Spencer’s failures from 2014-2026! No hit pieces will be allowed! We got receipts 🧾 and will keep posting!

Look at this hit piece lol. Xbox employees are relieved now but was fine when Phil was running the place into the ground and laying them off left and right lol.
A new report claims Sarah Bond was passed over as Microsoft Gaming CEO replacement, and Xbox employees are relieved.
While Phil Spencer's retirement seemed inevitable, many were surprised to see Sarah Bond exit at the same time. Bond was the mastermind behind the "This is an Xbox" campaign, which is reportedly viewed as a failure internally by leadership at Microsoft.

Just heard the horrible news about Lamarr Wilson passing away at 48. So incredibly sad, was a friend I would chat with often and was so generous as a human. Sending love and strength to his family. Life is precious, remember to check in on those you care about. 🙏🏻❤️

#stopkilinggames is making so much noise that Video Games Europe, a group of lobbyists made up of Embracer, EA, Activision, and all the worst in gaming are here to say you don't know what you're asking for.
They're scared. Keep them that way.

Its actually funny to see them say "the industry gives fair notice in compliance with local consumer protections laws."
Exactly. That's the problem. We don't like the laws.
