Look, @Sting vs @HulkHogan at Starrcade may not have been a technical masterpiece but it's one of my top 5 favorite matches.
While people on the internet love to focus on the mechanics during a match like they know what they're talking about, the storytelling during the year to get to the match was S tier and the type of long term booking we didn't really see at that time and definitely not now.
Gross. Steve Jobs was right and this is a terrible idea

Dear Sony,
Please get better security people
Sony has suffered a massive data breach affecting around 2.58 million So-net and plala customers.
Sony Network Communications says hackers accessed its member database on October 19. Leaked information includes:
• Names
• User IDs
• Email addresses
• Other customer information
• 16 bank account records, including account numbers and bank names
The company says it has not found any leaked credit card numbers or expiration dates, and it does not store customers’ bank PINs.
Sony says the affected servers have been shut down and the unauthorized connections blocked, while internet services continue to operate.
This may be one of the greatest ads ever. Firefox is trying to make 2007 great again!
I remember seeing the trailer drop for Mass Effect and when it finished, you immediately hit that play button again. You knew you just saw something special and I for one couldn't wait to jump into the ME universe
In a turn of events that will make the "Physical Media is King!" crowd cry, I had to turn to Prime to continue watching a show we started on DVD
About 4 years back I ordered the complete Stargate set from Amazon and my wife and I have been going through it. We got to disc 3 of season 2 last night and with 10 minutes left in the episode, the image appeared to scramble and after a few seconds audio began to pop until it became noise. I tried the disc on another player and the same issue occured. Checked the bottom of the disc and sure enough, on my FIRST time going through the set, the black markings on the edge associated with disc rot were showing.
Fortunately, Prime has Atlantis right now so we could finish the episode. Just wanted to highlight this story for those "if it's on disc you own it forever" folks so they understand that sometimes a relatively new disc can still fail and it's a lot more frustrating than a show being taken off a streaming service, since I have said disc in my hand.

As a former Apple user who's seen the light, I'm enjoying all the iPhone reviews from the people that scoffed at foldable phones for the last few years and then realizing how handy a tablet in your pocket is 😂
I was starting to get worried seeing all the damaged boxes but my new @xbox 25th Anniversary controller came in nice and pretty, ready to join the arsenal
This is a "trust me bro" quote if I ever heard one. First off, people are acting like Kotaku has any journalistic integrity left and running with this $500 million quote for Gears E-Day like it's gospel.
When you click on the article (and shower immediately afterwards for clicking a Kotaku link) you'll see the infamous SINGLE source is one "familiar with XBOX's business." Does this mean they work at XBOX and are involved in actual budget meetings? Or just some dude that works at the office for The Coalition as a developer or sanitation engineer? Maybe it means he works for another gaming blog, follows Xbox on social media and is therefore "familiar with their business."
Ask for your gaming journalists to do better and stop falling for click bait. Especially from activist sites like Kotaku who are more likely to virtue signal because of layoffs than actually investigate a report.
A source tells Kotaku that Gears of War: E-Day cost over $500 million to make. Sales estimates have been weak despite earning the highest Metacritic score since the original trilogy.
If it was never going to recoup its expenses, maybe it could achieve more as an Xbox console exclusive kotaku.com/the-case-for-excl…
