Amazon sent out this notification telling warehouse workers nationwide that they can’t access facilities if they’re not on the clock.
This is how Amazon warehouse workers were able to win a union at JFK8. Even if it’s not enforced “discriminatorily,” could have chilling effect.

NEW: Chipotle workers in Maine are unionizing.
Workers at a store in Augusta filed to form the company's FIRST EVER union.
They're forming an independent union called Chipotle United.

A few months ago hardly anyone thought we'd see a giant Amazon warehouse unionized, an Apple store unionized & 158 Starbucks unionized, especially since they're 3 intensely anti-union corporate giants
Many young workers are evidently very eager to unionize & have a voice at work

Salting is one of many tactics I hope to see serious investment / revival... Essentially, a SALT works undercover for union, and seeks a job at employer with explicit intent to organize/unionize the workplace from within.
FYI, if your union manages Salts, @GetFrank_com can help.
A new class of “salts”—radicals who take jobs to help unionization—is boosting the organizing efforts of long-term workers.

This is the most promising moment for labor in decades.
Most unions need to stop sitting on their hands, however, & need to step up & help turn this promising moment turn into a powerful movement that builds worker power & halts labor's long slide

It’s #LaborDay, so I thought I’d share a little history lesson about the roots of this “holiday” and why the U.S. ruling class tries so hard to ignore May Day.
To all the workers lucky enough to have the day off, enjoy it! All power to the working class google.com/amp/s/www.teenvog…

Why do we get Labor Day off? The holiday has its roots firmly in Chicago, where labor activists fought and striked for decades for improved conditions and better pay for workers. buff.ly/2PTe6Co.
