Sensational stuff by Swedish spacerock extraordinaires Les Big Byrd!
Tight four minute gems, extended magikal wig-outs and cyclical krautrock grooves.
Captivating, forever heavy, absolutely stunning. One for the ages.
The Abbey in Manchester is my favourite new venue. 💯💫💙
Thierno Barry after playing 50 continuous games for Everton this season without being subbed off once:
📢📢 - 1878s STATEMENT - 📢📢
We thought the potential sale of our biggest young talent was bad enough, but the last 24 hours has topped that.
On Saturday Moyes said "I don't think we can afford to lose any players, we need to stay as strong as we can” - Since then we have lost another 5 players (3 of them who have left play in areas we needed to strengthen in) and only brought 2 in.
To leave us with no back up full backs and just one striker is full on gross negligence, not forgetting we also lost one of our best players at an under valued price in today’s market in the process without replacing him too.
We stated on Sunday that we do not feel that our fanbase’s ambitions and the club’s ambitions align right now - what happened yesterday has proved that even more.
As a group we will still be standing down for the foreseeable future and will not be dedicating a huge amount of our own time to put together the displays that we do that try and generate the best pre match atmosphere possible.
To be clear, this is nothing against the signings we have made, we welcome them to the club and wish them the best of luck here.
However, like the rest of our fanbase, we are utterly disappointed and disgusted with how this transfer window has gone, especially the end of it.
Also for fans asking, just to reiterate - When we design flags, there are rules and regulations that we have to adhere to regarding the wording on our flags during displays, we are not allowed derogatory or offensive wording or images.
If we were able to get a load of flags in the ground to show our feelings of discontent, disappointment & anger over this whole situation, believe us, we would, but this is something that simply wouldn’t be allowed.
Despite how we all feel we still urge fans to get behind our team on the pitch for 90 mins like we did at Bournemouth on Saturday.
We will fully support any action the fanbase takes in reaction to this extremely poor transfer window.
OUR MOTTO IS THE STANDARD WE EXPECT!

Andy Burnham's speech:
* He says he will 'respect' the result of the Brexit referendum and is not proposing rejoining the EU. He says the focus needs to be on domestic issues rather than 'another divisive debate about a relationship with other countries'
* He says Labour has failed voters in the north. This is his strongest criticism of Starmer. 'I know what my party has offered in the past has simply not good enough. The loss of faith of voters across The North - so many of whom once saw us as their natural party - is our fault and nobody else's
* This is the bit where his pitch blurs into his pitch for PM: 'If I get to stand a vote for me will be a vote to change Labour. Because Labour needs to change if we're to regain people's trust. There will be a vote to make life more affordable. A vote to power up places. A vote to reindustrialise'
* He accuses Nigel Farage and Reform UK of being 'cheerleaders for the Thatcherite policies that laid us low in the first place'. 'Will they now disown them, apologise for them?'
* He says he wants 'maximum devolution of power and resources' from national to local government. He doesn't spell up what that is but the inference is devolved tax raising powers
* He says that public servants should work in the local and combined authoroities that they serve, not for 'unaccountable national agencies'
* Much of his speech was devoted to cricitising Whitehall and Westminster. 'We really need to use this moment to tell some home truths to people in Whitehall. It really can't go on like this'
* He says that the deindustrialisation of the North in the 1980s was 'devastating' for local communities. 'The draining away of economic, social and political power from these places. Left to drift. That's what happened.'
* He says that deindustrialisation was then 'compounded by deregulation, privatisation in the 90s and austerity in the 2010s'. 'It all adds up to 40 years of neo-liberalism that have not been kind to the north of England. 40 years of trickle down economics that did not in the end trickle down very much at all'
* That system has syphoned wealth out of those places and into the hands of people for whom life was already very good. It created an economy that didn't work for most working people. It led to the loss of good jobs, the decline of our high streets and the neglect of our towns. It led to people paying over the odds for the daily basics - energy housing water transport.

One of my favourite pieces of Prince kit is his Auerswald Model C guitar built by luthier Jerry Auerswald.
Prince used it on the Lovesexy, Batman and Graffiti Bridge albums.
Here he is performing Purple Rain with it on the the Nude Tour in Tokyo. 🎸💜

Music brings me more joy than anything else in life. And when I think of music, I think of Prince.
Hard to believe it's ten years since we lost him; so surreal. I feel so privileged to have had my life enriched by his talent. Big love Prince, nothing compares. 💜
