Johnny Blaze

⟁ ILLUMINATI FIELD DOSSIER ⟁ SUBJECT: JOHNNY BLAZE DESIGNATION: GHOST RIDER CLASSIFICATION: HUMAN HOST / SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE ORIGIN: EXTRADIMENSIONAL / MULTIVERSE AFFILIATION: MIDNIGHT SONS (HISTORICAL); CURRENTLY INDEPENDENT STATUS: ACTIVE THREAT: EXTREME / TARGET-SELECTIVE JURISDICTION: Demons. He was specific. OVERVIEW Do not file the skull as the man. Johnny Blaze is a former motorcycle stunt performer. Ghost Rider is what happens when the other passenger takes the handlebars. Blaze bargained with Mephisto to save his adoptive father, Crash Simpson, from cancer. Crash survived the disease and died in a stunt accident. Contract technically fulfilled. Johnny was subsequently bound to Zarathos, a demonic Spirit of Vengeance. Legal has been advised not to admire the precedent. The resulting entity dispenses supernatural judgment with hellfire, a chain that does not respect sensible geometry, and a motorcycle that considers walls, water, and gravity suggestions. Witnesses describe a flaming skull. Witnesses who were responsible for atrocities describe considerably more. Mephisto remains an active adversary. Blackheart and the fallen angel Zadkiel also feature in the wider case history. Subject has fought his way through Hell, opposed celestial powers, and associated with the Midnight Sons. Yes, Blade is in that file. No, this does not make the group available for bookings. CAPABILITIES HELLFIRE: Burns beyond conventional combustion. Standard extinguishers are not a strategy. HELL CYCLE: Can be conjured or transformed from an ordinary motorcycle. Terrain restrictions appear to be somebody else's problem. CHAIN: Supernaturally controlled, hellfire-infused, and unpleasant at any distance. PENANCE STARE: Forces a target to experience suffering they inflicted on others. Outcomes vary. The Ethics Department has requested we stop calling it an audit. RESILIENCE: Extreme. Mystical threats remain relevant. Conventional gunfire mostly expresses an opinion. OBSERVED CONDUCT Blaze is capable of restraint, compassion, and protecting innocents. Zarathos is less interested in committee deliberations. The distinction is operationally significant. Subject's stated priority in local operations: demons. Do not redirect him toward Hydra, A.I.M., a corporate dispute, or the quarterly compliance review. He has declined all four categories without reading the attachments. ENGAGEMENT PROTOCOL Do not bargain. Review origin. Do not flee. Review motorcycle. Do not meet the skull's eyes if your conscience requires legal counsel. Do not assume the human host and the Spirit have identical priorities. If the engine starts during a briefing, the briefing has ended. C. SOKOLOVA: "Johnny's still in there. That's important. So is the thing wearing his skull. He handles demons, I handle my problems, and Security can stop asking whether hellfire counts as an anima manifestation. It doesn't. Also, nobody touch his bike." GEARY: "A walking infernal contract dispute with a motorcycle. Not ours, not recruitable, and absolutely not billable. If Mephisto offers us a partnership, burn the paperwork. Preferably before Blaze arrives to do it himself." ⟁ EYE ONLY / DO NOT MEET HIS EYES ⟁
