"Anyway since I can clearly see you're annoyed, that means I've won the argument and I'm going to silence you now. Bye!"
Why in the name of Aslan's enormous paddy paws does anyone do this?

After contacting the ABC Book Show through their official website, it's my painful duty to warn my fellow writers off this one:
Random thought:
It's acceptable to dislike my writing. But if you look, and respond "DNF after chapter 1. Hope you didn't pay your editor or beta readers":
a) don't be surprised if I take it as a crass insult
b) don't expect me to wait to find out if you have something to say.
AI art depicting a non-AI concept written up without the use of AI:
He pretty much threw his friend under a bus. He's as guilty as Cain, but like Cain, he finds his punishment greater than he can bear.
The Sibyl will not soft-soap what he did, only help him find a way forward.
Thought for today:
When you want to tell someone "You can't take criticism," it weakens your case if you prevent them from replying to you before they explain that what you gave wasn't *criticism* but mindless dismissal.
It might turn out that criticism would have been fine.
I can't draw or paint, but I can imagine, and I can write. This is an interesting visualisation of a scene I wrote about three years ago.
This is AI, natch, and is not being marketed here. But the imagination was purely Organic Intelligence :)
Mining lasers? No, they'd launch little robot fighters. If you could then take down the mothership the robots would switch off and you could scoop them as "Alien Items". You wanted a fighting laser (Military for choice) to knock down a Thargoid mothership.
A little piece of artwork illustrating where it all starts to kick off in "The Crew and the Pilgrims". Watched by the blue-skinned miner on the right, the magician on the left is about to get something he didn't expect.

Yesterday I launched a series of elementary mathematical textbooks directed at underachieving 14-year-olds.
Tagged three of the little shits before SLT turned up.
I see we now have a new Karmelo Anthony, only he's a lying academic instead of a knife murderer.
I thought this would be the timeline with the flying cars and the Mars colony.
Well now, and here we are on Goodreads.

Things are looking up. :)
Sometimes the universe throws even me a bone. This particular one was launched from the other side of the world, no exaggeration.
Portal fantasy. Except:
A young girl walks into fire for someone she doesn't even like
and walks out carrying the power of a god.

Begins as a yarn about annoying kids in a world they don't understand.
Becomes an encounter with the numinous.
Kids go off to a magic realm, have adventure. *yawn*
Kids go off to a magic realm, get in trouble, will need an indescribable amount of self-improvement to get home, run the risk of learning lessons that can't be unlearned about Love and Sacrifice. Better?
