I heard a fascinating story about human behaviour today.
A tour guide at a historic castle was getting very high ratings from tourists.
They went to see what he was doing differently.
On several of the rooms he had used the red velvet ropes to block the doors.
These were normally used when the rooms were being repaired or cleaned. He had put them up at the beginning of each day.
During g the tour he would look around and say to the group “would you like to have a quick look in here?” And they would say yes in hushed tones.
He would ceremoniously unclip the rope and let them through into the room. A room that was always a normal part of every tour.
This simple little bit of theatre made people love the tour that much more.
Humans love what we can’t have.

Until 1979, Sweden classified homosexuality as a mental illness. That year, activists took the classification as an illness to its logical extent - Swedes called in too gay to go to work.

All this talk about Harry Kane winning the ballon d'or this year. Everything you're praising him for right now is what he has been doing for a decade. He is the best player on the planet. He has been for a long time. You're a moron if you think otherwise.

EVERYTHING that is wrong with modern football this. You either book both or send them both off.

🚨🎙️ Alan Shearer on Rodrigo Bentancur’s red card against Manchester United:
“Honestly, I don’t understand how Manchester United always seem to get the better end of these decisions. And listen, I’m not saying Bentancur shouldn’t have been sent off, but how on earth does Luke Shaw only get a yellow card?
“Football is emotional. Arguments happen, tempers rise, and players confront each other. But Shaw clearly pushed Bentancur to the ground, and it wasn’t a little push. He knocked him down, yet when both players got face-to-face, Bentancur was the one sent off.
“Personally, I wouldn’t call that a deliberate headbutt. Bentancur was getting back up after being pushed down when the confrontation happened. He shouldn’t have reacted, but what exactly is Shaw still doing on the pitch?
“If Bentancur’s involvement deserves a red card, then the referee must also examine Shaw’s actions. You cannot punish one player and overlook the other.
“We saw the Bruno Fernandes and Phil Foden situation, and now we’re questioning another decision involving United. The officials need to do better because consistency matters. I’m not defending Bentancur, but these decisions have to make sense. Otherwise, people will keep questioning the standard of refereeing in this league.”

Robert De Niro: "In the entire New Testament, there are just under a thousand mentions of Jesus. In the first half of the Epstein files, there are 38,000 mentions of Trump, his family, and private club. 38,000. What is he hiding?"

🚨 Sergio Ramos on Harry Kane:
🗣️ “Honestly, if Harry Kane had even half the PR some other players get, we’d already be talking about him as one of the greatest strikers of all time.
Players like Kane don’t always get the same attention or hype as others.
But his numbers speak for themselves.
He can score, create, assist and control the game from deep.
His finishing, movement and football intelligence are world-class.
He has performed at the highest level for years.
Yet somehow, he is still underrated when people discuss the greatest strikers ever.
For me, Kane absolutely belongs in that conversation.”

That’s about 20 Epstein whistleblowers who have now ‘died by suicide’.
Absolutely nothing suspicious about that at all…
