SoCal Woman Charged After Accessing Porn Site Minutes Before Fatal Utah Crash
Rundown:
On June 12, 2026, Christine Chao, 44, of Rosemead, was driving her blue Toyota Matrix on I-15 near Levan, Utah, in a construction zone where traffic had slowed.
Phone records showed she accessed xvideos.com (a major porn site) less than two minutes before impact. She rear-ended a Mazda, which then hit a Buick Enclave; all three vehicles left the roadway. There were no skid marks.
The Passenger of one of the cars a 66 year old man of Fillmore, Utah (who had just celebrated his 39th anniversary and enjoyed playing Santa Claus), suffered a fatal head injury.
Chao admitted fault at the scene. She was charged this week in Juab County with second-degree felony automobile homicide involving a wireless device. Court date is set for November 17.
