Trees glow during thunderstorms.
A recent study of tree leaves has revealed what scientists have long suspected but have never been able to observe: The tips of tree leaves shimmer as a thunderstorm passes overhead. This “glow” is called the corona and is caused by a weak electrical discharge. It’s invisible to the naked eye, but technology has allowed researchers to observe and document the phenomena. And this glow is actually really important.
As the corona is discharged, it releases hydroxyl radicals, which clean the air, removing pollutants. It’s such a powerful cleaning force that it’s known as “nature’s detergent.” This whole process is just another example of how our Creator God has lovingly provided for the needs of His creation.
God’s creation is truly amazing, and every discovery of the things He’s made brings glory to Him.
“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
Let the sea roar, as well as its fullness;
Let the field exult, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy
Before Yahweh, for He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness” (Psalm 96:11–13).

As our children grow, our grip naturally loosens. We have less control than we once did, fewer opportunities to protect them, and fewer chances to shape their decisions. And as our hands loosen, we discover it was never our hand holding them most securely anyway; it was God’s.
That realization is painful, but also freeing. While parents have an important role, we were never meant to carry the weight of changing a human heart. We can teach, model, pray, and love faithfully—but only God can awaken a heart to Himself.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 ESV).
Proverbs 22:6 isn’t inviting us to trust in a parenting formula; it’s inviting us to faithfully sow into our children while entrusting the harvest to God. We train them because we love them. We pray because we can’t change them. And we rest because God loves them even more than we do.
So keep praying, keep loving, and keep leading by example. The God who pursued you is pursuing your son or daughter, too!

Jesus taught us.
Walked with us.
Ate with us.
Worked with us.
Debated with us.
And then for doing nothing wrong, died FOR us.
We don’t deserve it
We didn’t earn it
We are all sinners
We are all broken
But have salvation
Thanks to Jesus taking up the cross
To save us

7. President Trump will make housing much more affordable. As inflation is tamed, interest rates will fall dramatically—reducing mortgage rates back down toward 3%, saving the average homebuyer thousands of dollars per year. He will eliminate regulations that drive up housing costs with the goal of cutting the cost of new home builds in half. And we will open up portions of federal land for large-scale housing construction—these zones will be ultra-low-tax and low-regulation. Millions of Americans will take part in settling these safe and beautiful communities, reviving the frontier spirit and the American Dream.
