When you realize the tax system has been taken over by oligarchs and now is a way to borrow from taxpayers to make millions in profits for a few thousand people you realize how broken our system is
BREAKING: America's 706 biggest corporations paid a 10.4% tax rate on $1.88 TRILLION in profits last year. That's the lowest rate researchers have found in more than 40 years of tracking. It's also less than half the 21% rate they're supposed to pay. This is insane.

$IREN Mackenzie UPDATE: New worker camp added since last month's footage. From the size of the camp and the amount of equipment already staged in the lay-down yard, IREN seems to be moving fast on this expansion. Im told they want to get all the concrete poured before it gets too cold in BC for it to cure.

Narrator: Cerebras didn't turn out to be the "Next Nvidia" as the guests on CNBC said. Down 70% from IPO day one.
I wouldn’t touch Cerebras with a 100 foot pole. Sure, it may go up on hype sentiment in the short term, but it’s far too fundamentally risky (scaling and future execution)

For those that are wondering, that's a 25% residual on a 6-7 year old GPU. $IREN
A 300-rack AI supercomputer powered by 9,600 Nvidia A100 GPUs is listed on eBay for $59.7M. That’s 1,200 GPU compute servers with 384TB of combined GPU memory and roughly 1.4 petabytes of system RAM. Each compute server connects eight A100 GPUs through $NVDA's NVSwitch technology. More than six years after A100 launched, The seller is offering these systems refurbished for new AI training and inference deployments.

Zuckerberg already admitted it wrongly suspended the No Kings Instagram account during the peak of a massive voter-mobilization effort. Now, seven days before the midterms, Zuckerberg has suspended the account Angie Nixon’s Senate campaign uses to organize Latino voters. At what point do repeated “mistakes” that suppress organizing by Democrats become an election-integrity crisis?
🚨 BREAKING: Meta has suspended Angie Nixon's organizing account ahead of the midterms. Nixon is the Democratic nominee for US Senate in Florida.

$TSLA [Tesla Semi catches fire on I-880 in Hayward, CA] - On Oct 27, around 5:35–5:45 p.m. local time, a Tesla Semi's lithium-ion battery caught fire in the southbound lanes of I-880 near Route 92 in Hayward. - The California Highway Patrol (CHP) closed both directions due to the risk of hazardous chemical smoke. Northbound reopened at about 8:40 p.m. - CHP said the battery fire could burn for 15–18 hours, and southbound would stay closed until it was out and the truck was safe to remove. - No injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved. The driver said the truck simply caught fire. The cause is under investigation.

Microsoft got $19 billion in tax breaks from Trump. It pays a lower federal income tax rate than a teacher. It’s spending $60 billion on stock buybacks. Its CEO made $90 million last year. “Corporations will create jobs if they get tax breaks” is a total scam.
Microsoft just made $133.7 BILLION in net income last year. Today they announced they are getting rid of 60,000 workers. Fuck these companies man.

Him and his friends bought the .si domains a few months ago. Now they’re trying to cash in. Hope this helps.
I have no idea why renaming AI is so bizarrely important to Trump. Nobody cares about the name he chose. Nobody is using it or will use it. And it’s not even technically accurate because “super intelligence” already had an agreed upon, widely adopted definition. This is the weirdest political hill to die on. It gains you nothing. Not a single ordinary American in the country, anywhere, cares deeply about making sure people say “SI” instead of “AI.” We are days away from a major election and this bullshit is the focus? Just baffling.

Credit where it's due: Tesla's driverless miles are growing fast, 30% in a single week, and Austin now has a real Tesla fleet carrying the public without anyone in the driver's seat. A year ago, that wasn't the case. But "never a real contest" is a strange thing to say when you're behind by 7x on weekly miles and 87x on cumulative miles, and your one win depends on comparing your newest week to your rival's data from last spring. What stands out to us is the type of autonomy Tesla is deploying. In 2020, Musk wrote that "Waymo is impressive, but a highly specialized solution," and that Tesla's approach was "a general solution." For years, Tesla fans dismissed Waymo as a geofenced system that only worked in mapped areas with lots of restrictions. Now look at Tesla's Robotaxi: geofenced, no highways, avoiding railroad crossings, taking 70 minutes for 10-minute trips, and limited by hours because the software isn't ready for anything with "the slightest possible risk." By Musk's own old definition, that's a highly specialized solution. Waymo is the one driving on freeways now.

Game over.

As an ex Microsoft employee, I know at least 6 people taking this offer. And another 2 who are don't want to but are terrified what will happen to them in the following year if they don't.
