#BREAKING One U.S. official tells CNN that the U.S. strike against Qeshm Island was in response to Iran launching a surface-to-air missile at a U.S. fighter jet. A source familiar with the matter says the strikes were kept secret to not overstate the matter. A note that, much like the sporadic American strikes against Iran over the past few weeks, Iranian air defense operations against U.S. military aviation is not irregular. Iran has continued to carry out interceptions against American UAVs operating in the Strait of Hormuz area, and the last round of airstrikes against Qeshm Island a few days ago was likewise conducted in response to surface-to-air missile launches towards a fighter jet.

#BREAKING The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) held its first press conference a short time ago on yesterday’s crash of Learjet 60 N722BD in Greenacres, Florida, which killed all nine people aboard. NTSB board member Tom Chapman said investigators have some evidence the aircraft began breaking up before impact. The debris field covers about half a mile by four tenths of a mile, and parts of the aircraft may be found some distance from the crash site. Anyone who finds possible debris should leave it in place and contact local authorities immediately. The NTSB said the crew reported light clear ice and moderate turbulence before the jet entered an overspeed condition and began descending rapidly. The jet was operated by Aurora Aviation, doing business as Upper Jets, under Part 135 charter rules. Investigators said they will examine all factors to establish the probable cause of the crash.

#BREAKING Poland has launched a special security operation along its border with Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave after warnings that acts of sabotage could take place in the coming days. RMF FM, citing unnamed sources, reports that Poland’s Military Intelligence Service and other agencies warned last week of possible sabotage, including border violations by armed groups. Police, military, Border Guard and intelligence services are involved, and a Polish police official linked the operation to sabotage and activity by “eastern services.” Police have also been ordered to full readiness from November 2 to 8. No incident has been reported.

#BREAKING: The co-pilot heard pleading for help in ATC audio before the fatal Learjet 60 crash in Palm Beach, Florida, has been identified as 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha. Her family confirmed to the NYP.
I believe the female pilot involved in the tragic private plane crash in Palm Beach County today is Nathalia Filgueiras, of Florida. Nathalia Filgueiras did a news interview about getting her pilot's license while still in high school in 2023. In a March 2026 post, Nathalia posted about flying a LearJet 60, the type of plane that crashed today. Her sister, Giulia, also seemingly commented on a TikTok post about the crash saying "My sister 💔" and her Instagram is following Nathalia's "itsnatflig" account. Her partner, "J" (as seen in her IG bio) is likely the "Jack" she cries out to in the chilling audio. It looks like she flies with him routinely, according to her former social media posts. Jack is also heard reciting the Lord's prayer in the moments before the crash. May they rest in peace.

#BREAKING Suspected cyberattacks hit supermarket refrigeration systems across several European countries Overnight incidents have disrupted fridges and freezers in dozens of stores in Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Estonia (with limited temperature anomalies also reported in a few Finnish K-stores and under investigation). Attackers appear to have remotely switched units into defrost mode, driving temperatures as high as 50–55°C (122–131°F) and forcing the disposal of spoiled fresh and frozen goods. Key reported impacts include roughly 40 Delhaize stores (plus some Carrefour, Spar, and others) in Belgium and Luxembourg; a limited number of ICA and Coop stores in Sweden; 13 SuperValu stores in Ireland; at least 17 smaller businesses (including butchers) in the Netherlands; and at least one chain in Estonia. Losses are estimated in the hundreds of thousands of euros in affected locations, though far smaller in scale than the mid-October attack that hit hundreds of French supermarkets using the same method on older, internet-exposed controllers (primarily Danfoss and similar equipment). Retailers have disconnected affected systems, discarded compromised stock, and in most cases kept stores open or reopened quickly. National cybersecurity agencies in the affected countries are investigating; no group has claimed responsibility. The incidents highlight ongoing risks to poorly secured operational-technology devices in the food retail supply chain.
