No albacore management plan = risk of losing MSC certification = weaker sourcing confidence = disruption for supply chains = less viable fishery.
A solution is on the table. Adoption of the Pacific-led proposal at #WCPFC22 would secure future assessments and protect access.

Look at Indian Ocean yellowfin tuna: when science-based management was delayed, supply chains reacted. South Pacific albacore is not in that position.
