It is well documented that ISKP maintains an operational presence and training infrastructure inside Afghanistan. The 2025 UN Security Council Monitoring Team report explicitly states that “Afghanistan remained the main hub for its recruitment and facilitation.” The report identifies training facilities in Badakhshan, Kunar and Nuristan. It also documents recruitment and transit routes through Iran, including Orumiyeh, Mashhad and Zahedan, used by ISKP recruits to enter Afghanistan’s Herat and Nimroz provinces. Instead of making baseless claims, read the UN report and examine the documented evidence of ISKP’s activities inside Afghanistan. Stop relying on assumptions to defend the Taliban’s narrative. The facts are there in black and white; ignoring them does not change them. Do some research next time. Don’t package the Taliban’s narrative as independent analysis. To save you some time, I’ve attached the relevant excerpt from the report for you to read.
