Last Sunday in Northampton, volunteers of all ages came together to share food, connect with the community, serve alongside one another, and celebrate Navratri Ashtami.
It was especially lovely to see children joining in too, learning how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference.
Ashtami celebrates the strength of Maa Durga and reminds us of the power of compassion.
Who said computer class can’t end with paper boats and a LOT of friendly competition?
At Go Dharmic’s computer centre in Guniyalekh, Himalayas, children from remote communities come to learn digital skills, make new friends and have some fun along the way!
Every Tuesday, as people go about their day in the busy streets of London, our volunteers come together to make sure that those facing difficult circumstances have a meal to count on.
Week after week, they show up and serve warm meals to each person with open hearts.
It is a small but meaningful way to support our community and remind people that they are not forgotten.
Seva is not always about changing someone's life overnight. Sometimes, it is about making sure they have a meal today, & knowing that someone will be there again next week.
Lord Rama is revered as Maryada Purushottama, the embodiment of dharma, compassion and duty. His life teaches us that dharma is something we must live, especially when doing what is right is difficult.
This Dussehra, may we find the courage to stand for what is right, the humility to serve others and the love to see the divine in everyone. May we honour Rama not only in words, but through our actions, by doing his work and helping create a world rooted in dharma.
It was a beautiful evening of music, compassion and celebration on the final night of Navratri in Rishikesh. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for the Sacred Music for Sacred Forest concert with Nina Rao, in support of India’s forests and wild tigers.
A heartfelt thank you to Nina Rao and her wonderful team for bringing this evening to life, and to Krishna Das for joining us and showing his support.
All proceeds will go towards serving and saving wild tigers, restoring the Sundarbans through mangrove plantations, helping protect vital habitats and the wildlife that depends on them.
If you are moved to support, donations are open: godharmic.com/donate/
