‼️Statement RE my suspension from the Greens.
I was suspended for the 'crime' of being a trans woman who ran for a women's place. The "media interest" in my gender was cited as the sole reason for my suspension.

ALT I can confirm that I have indeed been suspended from the Green Party. The only reason given for my immediate suspension is that I allegedly ‘brought the party into disrepute’ by choosing to run for a reserved female space on Green Party Council as a trans woman. In the Greens, suspensions are not a guilty verdict. I was not found guilty of breaking any rules whatsoever. The only actual disciplinary allegations against me are that I allegedly was rude to people on the internet, and that I ‘gossiped’. I was not suspended for any of this. The only reason given for my IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION was: "EF’s recent election to GPC and the accompanying media interest”. I was suspended just 8 days after being elected, in a secret group chat discussion which included just 13 of the 36 members of GPC. My critics submitted 100 pages of transphobic articles as ‘evidence’, while I was banned from submitting anything in my defence and was not allowed to see the charges. There was no investigation.

3.30pm today 20+ masked fascists drove to East Bristol in a van and a couple of cars and attempted to force their way into The Red Lion while a benefit gig was starting up.
They attacked people outside before more locals/antis and cops arrived, then they drove off.

Iraqi Girl at Checkpoint, 2005 🇮🇶
American photojournalist Chris Hondros captured this picture of Samar Hassan, a little girl, moments after her parents were shot dead by U.S. soldiers at a checkpoint in Iraq in January 2005.
Hondros was embedded with the Army unit when the shooting happened and transmitted his photographs immediately, which were published worldwide the following day. The images led to a revision of U.S. military checkpoint procedures and forced the public to question why American soldiers were killing the people they had come to protect. The impact of the photos was significant and added to the growing skepticism towards the war in Iraq.
