Thank you @WordInBlack and @TeeCeeEm1 for this poignant story on @KembaSmith journey from an unjust incarceration to becoming a voice for those still behind bars. There are so many who deserve the right to vote. They've served their time.

Our farmers are struggling to grow the food we need, and our families are struggling to put that food on their tables.
The #FarmBill must empower the USDA to support our farmers and feed our families, not cut their resources.
And @HouseAgDems are holding the line.
Thank you @RepAdams, @RepUnderwood, @RepRobinKelly, and @corybooker for being champions of healthcare equity for ALL Americans!
#HRSA Administrator Johnson joins @HHSGov @SecBecerra, @RepAdams, @RepRobinKelly and @RepUnderwood at the Black Maternal Health Outcomes Matter event and discusses best practices and innovative models used to improve maternal and infant health outcomes. #BlackMaternalHealthWeek
I understand that its important to capture police violence on camera and share the story, but honestly, its traumatic to see a person being choked, shot, our beaten on repeat with each broadcast. Can we find more sensitive ways to get the story across?
POV: When Madame Vice President shouts out your boss @RepAdams for her advocacy to eliminate disparities in maternal health it's a good day in PR! #prsa #publicrelations #BlackLivesMatter
Thank YOU @VP for recognizing our important work on Black Maternal Health and your continued support.

Thank you @CoryBooker @RepAdams @RepPressley and @LaurenUnderwood for caring about the quality of care for incarcerated women. In a perfect world we wouldn't need jails, but let's at least treat imprisoned individuals like human beings.

The United States — the land of the free — is home to 1 in 3 women incarcerated worldwide. We are also home to the highest maternal mortality rates among high-income nations, and the risk is even greater for incarcerated pregnant women. That's why Lauren Underwood, Alma Adams, Ayanna Pressley, and I are championing a bill to end the inhumane practice of shackling pregnant people in prison. It's time for federal action to protect lives and uphold people’s dignity.
While we get distracted by celebrity news and fake news, Democracy as we know is being dismantled right in front of us.

Though it can be a bit of a whirlwind, prepping a member of Congress for the State of the Union is still a PR person's dream day!

Honored to be in the Capitol for the #StateOfTheUnion with my colleagues tonight. @GobiWrites @turnernjones
The role of media is to be truth tellers and make accurate information available to all. Thank you @claycane and @TheView for shedding light on who really supports HBCUs and equity in #HigherEd.
#HBCUBUZZ
Thank you @ClayCane and @TheView for helping to set the record straight today about the Democrats who are actually working to keep HBCUs funded and competitive with other schools.
The American people deserve the truth about who really has their backs in Congress.

We honored 2nd Lt. Fred Brewer this morning, who made the ultimate sacrifice on 10/29/1944.
2nd Lt. Brewer gave his life for a nation that did not yet see him as an equal. Progress made since proved democracy works, and we must never stop perfecting the cause for which he died.
